"Before I went, I checked out the hotel and still trusted the Howard Johnson brand. As soon as I drove in, a security guard guided me to parking. The front desk staff, Haly, was especially thoughtful and gave my child lollipops. They upgraded my room type to two connecting rooms. The service was excellent, and I'm definitely planning to come back soon. The travel photography service was also top-notch; they clearly understood what I wanted and upgraded the photo package. It's truly worth experiencing."

"I read a lot of reviews beforehand saying the hotels on the mountain weren't great in terms of environment and hygiene. After checking in, I was pleasantly surprised – it's actually pretty good for a mountain hotel. The next morning, we took the cable car up to Yinyangjie and saw soft natural snow and little squirrels. It wasn't too crowded during the Chinese New Year period. Overall, a pretty good trip!"

"Overall, the room was decent, but the cleaning wasn't thorough. Under the bed was quite dirty, with lots of dust and papers. For a price of over 1200 yuan, including tickets for two adults and the cable car up to the ski resort, plus the bus fee, it felt like a good deal. The tickets alone would be 240*2=480, and we also received a 100 yuan dinner voucher. So, 1250 - 580 = 670, meaning the room itself was around 670 yuan a night, which is pretty reasonable for the period around Chinese New Year. The bottled water in the room was a super big bottle, and the hotel dinner was delicious. It was very cost-effective with the voucher – the boiled fish and cauliflower were absolutely amazing, I highly recommend them! The room was advertised as having underfloor heating, but the floor wasn't actually warm. However, it wasn't cold in the room, so it was fine. Xiling Snow Mountain is perfect for kids to play in the snow, build snowmen, and ski. It snowed on Feb 7th and 8th, and we arrived on the afternoon of Feb 10th. Our younger child played for a good half-day just building snowmen at the hotel entrance. The older child went skiing at the resort, hired an instructor for 2 hours, and skied for 4 hours. Renting gear and all cost about 1000 yuan. The instructor suggested booking a 2-hour single board lesson for 600 yuan upfront. If you book an hour and then extend for another, it's 340+340=680 yuan. Adult skiing costs 168 for two hours, and children's skiing is 128 for two hours, with an extension fee of 30 yuan for half an hour. Once accumulated to 6 hours, it becomes a full-day pass. Our child wanted to learn snowboarding, so we hired a single board instructor. We only booked for an hour initially, thinking an extension would be calculated as part of the 600 yuan total, but it wasn't; it was 340+340=680. Since we rarely visit, it's fine as long as the child had fun. I feel it's much better than going to Harbin in Northeast China. It was too cold there when I visited, and the kids couldn't really enjoy playing in the snow because only their eyes could be exposed, and they needed two pairs of gloves to stay warm. But Xiling Snow Mountain was great! The 0-degree temperature wasn't too cold, and the kids had a blast. No wonder it's called the warmest snow mountain! Before going, I was hesitant, wondering if it would be as underwhelming as some online reviews suggested, but I genuinely found it very worthwhile. The free snow play area is quite large, feeling even bigger than the paid Panda Paradise. I also recommend going up to Sun and Moon Peak (Riyueping). Children under 13 are free, and adults are 96 yuan each. You might even see squirrels 🐿️ up there. We went up in the afternoon, so it might have been too cold by evening for the squirrels to be out. Those who went in the morning saw them. We were playing in the snow at the entrance, and a guest told us Riyueping was worth taking the kids up to, so we rushed there before leaving in the afternoon. I recommend going around 9 AM when the sun is just out and warm, and you'll have a better chance of seeing squirrels 🐿️."

"The service was great, and the environment was lovely too. The gym, pool, and private hot spring in the room were all very good. The moment we checked in, our butler brought afternoon tea snacks to our room. Breakfast was also delivered to the room, and the butler was always responsive whenever we contacted her. The room facilities were excellent, clean, and tidy. The only issue was the door between the guest rooms and the restaurant. Perhaps because housekeeping staff frequently used it, it was often left open. Guests attending wedding banquets in the restaurant would occasionally walk through, and if they saw an open room door, they'd want to peek inside. Once, my child ran out without closing the door, and just as I reached the entrance, a man saw our open door and tried to walk in – it startled me! This afternoon, I saw another group of banquet guests come through the back door. They saw the door to the room next to ours open, and those ladies also said they wanted to go in and look at the room. Why would they? If you want to book a room, there are pictures available on Ctrip and Dianping. It's really something else for people to just wander in and look at rooms while waiting for their meal. I suggest that door be kept closed at all times to keep the guest room area quieter, as the guest rooms are not a tourist attraction for banquet attendees to visit. Everything else was great. The butler service was excellent and responsive, and the hygiene was also very good. It's definitely worth staying here!"

"The room facilities were excellent, with really powerful hot water, and the room itself was spacious and very clean. On the 5th floor, there's a laundry room and a gym, where you can wash and dry clothes. The front desk service was also superb. In the lobby, they offer hot water, drinks, and cookies, and someone immediately offers you hot water as soon as you enter. The service was very thoughtful. The environment is also nice, with plenty of convenient dining options nearby. This stay was a fantastic experience. The front desk had many cute little pandas on display, which looked great. Definitely coming back next time!"

"After a long search, I finally found this hidden gem – a perfect spot for a relaxing getaway. It's great for families with kids or for bringing your parents along. Getting there from Chengdu is super convenient, just an hour's drive. Upon arrival, I contacted the butler, and someone immediately came out to greet us and help with our luggage. The service was excellent! Breakfast offered a wide variety of options, and it truly felt like a luxurious experience. Afternoon tea was a buffet with unlimited beer, drinks, and various snacks. They started pampering us with food the moment we arrived. The in-room amenities were also fantastic, including a Dyson hairdryer (I wasn't even planning on washing my hair, haha!). The butlers were incredibly responsive and patient in helping with all our requests. Overall, I absolutely loved it here and will definitely be back!"

"This hotel is directly opposite the Anren Ancient Town Bell Tower, making its location excellent. It's easy to walk to the Mansion Old Street, and the 'ding-ding' tram from the town square goes directly to Liu's Manor, so getting around is very convenient. The hotel's garden is lovely and well-maintained, featuring a 'naughty fort' (indoor play area), outdoor facilities, a swimming pool, and a small farm where you can feed sheep and rabbits. Kids absolutely love it. The rooms are spacious, though some of the facilities are a bit dated. The staff are all very friendly, providing attentive and warm service. Breakfast offers a wide variety of choices. This hotel is highly recommended for families traveling with children and seniors."

"This hotel was a pleasant surprise; it really feels like a local five-star in terms of amenities. The rooms have high-quality wallpaper, and the mattresses are excellent, offering a very luxurious feel for this price point. The toiletries are Rosedale, and my hair felt wonderfully fluffy after washing—definitely not the cheap stuff you find in most hotels. The toothbrush was super soft; I even took it home because I didn't want to throw it away. The pool is heated, and my child played for two hours and didn't want to leave. There's also a huge, well-designed playground. Breakfast was also top-notch, truly worth it. I'm not a shill; I haven't written such a long review in ages. "Sorry for forgetting to take indoor photos, stole the two hotel exteriors taken by my dad 😝 with two young and old on weekends, booked 4 rooms, got unanimous praise, the price is particularly high! The hotel uses very good things, each room type has its own characteristics, the cleaning is very clean, the bedding is very comfortable to sleep, it is really beyond expectations, it must be 5 points praise! "Before I even checked in, they added me to a concierge chat group, and any questions I had were answered promptly and proactively. My room was on the third floor, and while there's no elevator, the concierge staff helped me with my luggage. I chose the 270-degree mountain view, and falling asleep to the sound of the stream at night was incredibly relaxing (though it was a bit chilly, the electric blanket and air conditioning kept the room nice and warm). We ordered the hot pot from the guesthouse for dinner, and it was delicious! The free-range chicken hot pot with mushroom soup was more than enough for two people. There was also a concert in the evening, and the singer was fantastic! There are two friendly dogs in the courtyard, a golden retriever and a small white dog, both very affectionate. There's also a super cute cat at the front desk. Overall, it was a great experience, and I'd definitely come back!"
