***November 2025 Stay Experience*** I received a call immediately after booking to confirm my arrival time and arrange ticket purchases (discounts available, free for seniors over 70). A friendly staff member picked me up and helped with my luggage; they responded promptly to any questions. Regarding the environment, I really loved the courtyard and cabins. Sitting in the courtyard watching the swaying trees and listening to the wind and birdsong was the epitome of idyllic living. However, the reality is that there are mosquitoes, and it gets quite chilly in late autumn and early winter. The duplex layout was a highlight when I chose the room, but I wouldn't recommend it for older people. Getting up at night requires climbing stairs to the first floor, which isn't very safe. The bathroom doesn't have a door, so water splashes onto the sink area. There's no absorbent mat either; I suggest improvements. Also, the air conditioner is extremely noisy, but when it's off, it's very cold and damp, and the blankets feel damp. The staff member mentioned that the noise seems particularly loud when it's quiet here. I explained the situation to the young lady, and she changed my room to ”West Window Dream” for the second night. Although the atmosphere and design were slightly inferior, the standing air conditioner was powerful, and she even added a blanket and an electric blanket, which satisfied my comfort needs! On a weekend trip, I booked the Muyue Hotel, which is close to Xitang Ancient Town. Although it's not a large hotel, it's clean, elegant, and the service is warm and attentive. The lake-view room offered a truly delightful sight and is highly recommended. Also, the lady at the front desk was very helpful and thoughtful; she can assist guests in accessing the ancient town's South Gate directly through the hotel's side entrance. From there, you can enjoy the江南 (Jiangnan) style garden and lake views all the way to the main scenic area, the Yanyu Corridor. It’s perfect for a leisurely stroll to take in the sights and colors of Xitang Ancient Town. I highly recommend staying at Muyue Hotel.

Wonderful stay. The room was beautiful, large and comfortable. The garden was gorgeous and the tea room next to the garden was very quaint. The owner was kind and helpful, making our stay flawless. We would definitely return. Thank you

The location of the hotel is very advantageous. It is located in the center of the ancient town and the transportation is very convenient. It only takes a few minutes to walk to Xitang's main attractions, such as Yanyu Corridor, Songzi Laifeng Bridge, Bar Street, etc., which is very suitable for leisure vacation or business trip. The facilities are outstanding. The hotel's architectural style is elegant and exquisite, and the garden is planted with various flowers and green plants, making the environment very pleasant. The room is fully equipped, clean and tidy, giving people a warm and comfortable feeling. The bed was moderately soft and hard, allowing me to have a good night's sleep. The hotel has an internal bar, which is not open to the public. A variety of board and board games are also provided for guests' entertainment. You have more choices in your spare time, so you can fully enjoy the fun of your trip. The hotel staff are warm and friendly and always provide us with attentive service. Whether it was checking in or checking out, they were always there to answer our questions and help us with a smile. This attentive and thoughtful service made me feel very warm and comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel to friends who are planning to travel to Xitang. I believe you will also praise the facilities here just like me.

Clean, hygienic, and a great environment. The room was clean and bright, the bedding was soft and skin-friendly, and the soundproofing was excellent, allowing for a good night's sleep until morning. The front desk staff were warm and welcoming, and the location is convenient, right in the ancient town as soon as you step out. Great value for money, highly recommended!

The environment is elegant, transportation is convenient, and the service is attentive. We received a notification from the front desk the day before check-in, confirming our check-in time and providing us with our location. Thank you very much for making our trip perfectly arranged. Although the hotel is located within a scenic area, it is very quiet and comfortable. The entrance and exit to the scenic area are just a stone's throw away, saving time and allowing more time to explore. The room was clean, tidy, bright, and comfortable, with separate wet and dry areas. Our room also had a small library, which the children loved. It was a wonderful trip!

The location of this hotel in Xitang is superb, right by the river! As soon as you step out, you're on the ancient town's canals. We even took a stroll around in the evening, it was so cool and refreshing. We also tried the cold jelly dessert (shi liang fen), which was delicious. The room was great too. Full marks, highly recommend!

I booked the Five Lakes Riverside Balcony Room with Main Channel View and Bathroom at Regalia Riverside for Dec 30 and 31, 2025. The room looks exactly as it does in the photos. The balcony has plug ins, teapot, teacups and tea prepared for you. Across the balcony, you can see the famous bridge and the boat station. You can also see up and down the channel. Room size is good for 2 persons. In the room is a heater/AC which worked perfectly and Ms. Sun also kindly turned on the heater since she knew my arrival time. The room has a kettle but no cups, coffee. Luckily I had brought my own. Also, know that the hotel does not provide breakfast - not a problem for me but for those we eat breakfast, just step outside. Location is perfect, it's in the heart of ancient town so easy to walk everywhere. Outside your door is snack street and at the end of the street is a ”food court”. Despite it's central location and opposite of the boat station, the noise was manageable. When I closed the balcony doors, I didn't hear anything (maybe too cold for people to loiter around?). Everyone was very nice and kind. Ms. Sun went out of her way to help me with my return bus ticket to Hangzhou, giving me directions on how to arrive at the hotel/meeting point where she waited for me, and her colleague even walked and waited for my car when I departed for Hangzhou. Going from Hangzhou to Xitang was an adventure as I read many different versions and my hotel told me another in my research. All in all, i highly recommend Regalia and Xitang! Thank you to Ms Sun and everyone for making my 2026 new year experience so memorable!

Stayed here for 3d2n on March 9 2025! The hotel staff was really friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is in Xitang which is a tourist area so come in after 5pm and the entrance fee is free! The hotel staff was really friendly as we left a note letting them know that my partner is a professional photographer so we booked a room with a balcony to take pictures. Before we checked-in, the owner offered to bring us to another hotel he owns in the area to see if liked the views there better but we still chose to stay in Manjuelong. The rooms are quite spacious and the hotel was quite quiet at the time. The hotel is situated inside a tourist area which was quite convenient for us to walk around and explore! If we go back to Jiaxing again, we will consider staying here again!

For this price and location, cannot complain. Was quite content. Great location, rooms clean enough. It’s a family run property in an old town and old building, so please do not expect 5-star service.
