"You can drive right up to the hotel entrance and take the elevator up to your room. Our room was in the attic, which required going up a short flight of stairs first. It had two bedrooms, which was perfect for our family trip. The room was really nice, and since we had kids, I pushed the two beds together, which was great. The next morning, we went to the second floor for the buffet breakfast. They had rice noodles and congee, and the A Shi Ma (auntie) who was preparing breakfast was so gentle and enthusiastic, constantly offering us more of whatever we wanted. After breakfast, we walked towards the Stone Forest. You just go down some steps, and you're right at the scenic area – it's very close. The sightseeing bus stops right there, making it easy to get back to the hotel. There are also plenty of restaurants nearby, including a KFC, and some shops, so the amenities are quite good."

"The house is clean and tidy. The view of the mountains and terraced fields in front of the house is good. However, the food service is too slow when eating in the store. You cannot fry one dish for each table first and then the second dish for each table, so that every table has something to eat. No need to wait for food."

"It’s a great experience to stay in this guesthouse. The owner and his wife are very hospitable and helpful. The shared with me many information on what to do and how to do Stone Forest and Jiuxiang Caves. They also invited me to drink tea with them and happened that time their friends visited them and we had some nice chit chats together. The guesthouse is lovely - nice front entrance and a cute little garden at the back which the room opens to. If you are staying in Shilin, this is a nice guesthouse for your consideration. Very big room - bed is on the hard side (but then I realised this is the case for all the guesthouses and hostels I’ve stayed in China so far). Come with great heater and electric heater for the bed!"

"We stopped there on our way from Kunming to Yuanyang to split the trip and to enjoy the silver stone forest. Such a good pick we had by choosing the Mijia Inn! It's located in a quiet neighbourhood close to the silver stone forest entrance (~5km). The rooms are nice, well equipped, clean and the beds comfortable. We even had a balcony with seats to rest in. The common places are also very nice. There is at least one good restaurant nearby (as we only tried this one), along the main road; and a 7/11 equivalent just facing the house. The young lady managing the house speaks English; she's very nice and helpful. Definitely the place to stop when sleeping in Shilin!"

"The room was decorated in a fresh style. It's located in a villa complex near the Stone Forest. The owner was so helpful! We drove there and sent us directions in advance. He took us on a three- to four-hour walk through the Stone Forest, offering free guided tours and visiting areas that regular tour groups wouldn't visit. He also took us lots of beautiful photos. For dinner, he even took us to a local horse meat restaurant, which was delicious and affordable!"

"There are no obvious signs in the hotel lobby. After the front desk helped check in, the staff did not give any explanation. There was no reminder of the buffet time or even the specific location of the room. They only said it when asked. The room facilities and decoration are also relatively old. The towel racks of the two rooms of the same type are different. One of the rooms is not equipped with paper cups. There are only two sets of sauna suits and bathrobes in the room. If you need to use sauna suits and bathrobes with children, you need to go to the women's room to get them separately and deposit 100 yuan each. You must also take the sauna suits and bathrobes back to the women's room to return them. The overall experience is not good. The restaurant is also very average. There is basically nothing to eat at the buffet. The dishes are few and not delicious. The two beverage machines in the beverage area are empty and cannot receive any drinks. When asked, the waiter replied that the machine is broken and there is only plain water. The hotel is located, and you can't order takeout. The hot spring water quality is good, which may be the only plus point."

Very good room and cleanliness. Surrounding is very peaceful. It is near to the Stone Forest scenic, around 10rmb by DiDi. The weak point is very little selection of eateries around there as it is in a residential neighbourhood. There is a good & reasonably priced restaurant within walking distance ( 小倩味道）

Superb location in the heart of the ancient town. Walking distance to everything. The entrance is very nice and many people like taking photographs here. Owners are nice and attentive. Will definitely recommend this place. The price paid for this hotel is totally worth it.

The price/performance ratio is very good. The rooms are relatively new, but you have to park far away. The B&B is in a good location. There is a park next to the door, and there is a pedestrian street not far across the road. There are many snacks, and you can go to the night market for late-night snacks. This was by far the BEST accommodation we stayed in China!! We booked two rooms because I'm travelling with my sister and her boyfriend. Both rooms were extremely clean, the best comfortable beds ever, hot shower, air con, all the toiletries were good quality and the staff were amazing!!!! They helped us out with everything!! Even though they don't speak English or any other language (like elsewhere in China), they were extremely helpful and we managed to communicate with the translator. We stayed two nights but we would have loved to stay longer which was not possible because visa's expiring soon. When we got there, they made us delicious noodles with beef and vegetables and my brother in law is still dreaming to get the same tasty noodles somewhere else in China 😊 We don't know the names of the hosts, maybe they are wife and husband (we are not sure) but surely this was the top accommodation and treatment we have received in China so we would like to thank you two again for everything you have done for us. We are sure your next guests will enjoy their stay at your place just the same as we did. Thank you from Sarah, Myriam and Fabio.

The service is so bad👎🏻! I went to the hotel and paid an extra 1,100 yuan to upgrade the room type. I brought 6 children with me and asked if there was breakfast and what time it was! Just tell me 9:30! No indication of how far it is from the hotel! The next morning a group of people got up and walked over, but they didn't arrive even after walking for 10 minutes. When they arrived, it was past meal time and nothing was provided! I take my kids out with my friends every month! This is the first time I encountered a hotel with such poor service!

The service attitude of the hotel front desk staff is very good. The room is very spacious and has an unobstructed view. You can see the panoramic view of the stone forest. The light is very good and you can make tea. It is very comfortable to stay. It is worth recommending.

Great location that it is near a lot of food places, a store, and the Stone Forest. Even though I already visited Stone Forest on my visit to Kunming in 2018, this was still a good room in that I get my privacy. Hotel workers were nice in that they gave me more water and wanted to make my bed even though I didn't need it. I liked how it had a heater in there to keep me warm whenever the room got too cold. The thing that I was unsure of is how much freedom and accessibility I get in being able to cook things in the kitchen at times and I was confused about whether I was allowed to eat the food that the cook makes, or it is only for guests that order food and pay for it from him. Sometimes the cook is unpredictable in that I don't know when he comes to cook between the lunch and dinner hours. The front desk women were friendly and helpful in giving me information about certain things. I appreciate it when they loaned me a phone charger temporarily when mine broke until I can get a new replacement one. Thank You for that. The only thing I would have to say, is that it is too far from the city center from the train station in where I need to be in order to catch the train to Hekou and cross the border into Vietnam.

I drove here from another place because it is close to the Stone Forest Scenic Area. The hotel is an independent garden with a very good environment and very convenient parking. The room is very large and there are several buildings. The breakfast is also very good with many varieties, especially the rice noodles are delicious.
