"I booked a Peak View Premium Room, but it turned out to be on the first floor. When I opened the window, all I saw was a wall. I checked, and the sea view room was only a few tens of yuan more expensive, but it was a beach cabin. I really got a raw deal (bloody loss). I arrived at the hotel around 9 am and asked if I could check in early, perhaps at 12 pm, if the room was clean. I was told 'no, no, no,' and that I had to wait until exactly 2 pm. I was waiting for the welcome drink on the beach. The redemption card showed it could be used from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm. At 11 am, when I asked, they said the restaurant was being cleaned and I had to wait. My companion and I were lying on the beach chairs, and no one came to offer us even a single towel, yet all the Caucasians on the adjacent chairs had towels. 🤷 My friend also asked how much it would cost to get a ride to the city. They said 100,000 Indonesian Rupiah (39 RMB) for a one-way trip. So, they dropped my friend off in the city. When it was time for them to return to the hotel, they couldn't be reached. The hotel kept ignoring messages, leaving them hanging. In the end, with no other option, they had to take a motorcycle taxi in a torrential downpour, speeding back on mountain roads. 👍"

"I had a really enjoyable stay at Loccal Collection Hotel Labuan Bajo. The hotel has a very unique and stylish concept, with architecture and design that stand out compared to typical hotels in the area. The atmosphere feels modern, aesthetic, and relaxing — perfect for a getaway in Labuan Bajo. One of the best parts of the stay was definitely the view. Overlooking the sea and surrounding hills, the scenery from the hotel was beautiful, especially during sunrise and sunset. The pool area and common spaces were also great spots to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. I appreciated the overall ambiance of the property, which felt calm and cozy throughout the stay. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful whenever needed, making the experience even better. The location is also convenient, with easy access to cafés, restaurants, and the harbor area. Overall, Loccal Collection offers a memorable stay experience that combines comfort, good views, and a unique design concept. Definitely one of the more interesting places to stay in Labuan Bajo, and I would happily return again."

"Excellent location just 5min walk to the pier for daily dive departures. And within easy access of supermarkets and eateries on the main street. Very clean and comfortable with easy/affordable laundry drop-off at reception and access to a water dispenser just outside our room. Our only complaint was that the wifi signal was too poor to be of any use; and the hot water in our room didn’t really work so we mostly had pretty cold showers. But we’d still consider coming back because everything else was great!"

"Staying at Katamaran Hotel & Resort Komodo was an absolute delight. Despite being a relatively new property, having opened about a year and a half ago, it runs with the precision and grace of a seasoned resort. The warmth and hospitality of the staff were unmatched from the moment I arrived, and I must give a special compliment to the efficient and helpful luggage service. The security team, the front desk personnel, and the F&B team were all incredibly proactive and obliging, making sure I felt completely safe, comfortable, and well looked after throughout my stay. Special mention to the front desk staff who were very helpful with our queries, reservations and check-out: Denal and Amelia 😊👋 I also want to highly compliment the day tour I took, which covered six different destinations. It was a perfect crash course of the entire national park and was well worth the money. I highly recommend anyone staying here to take up that one-day tour for an unforgettable experience seeing the dragons up close, frolicking on pink sands, snorkeling with turtles and manta rays and basking on a Bank crescent sandbank surrounded by crystal blue waters. While the breakfast variety was impressive and the chefs did a fantastic job keeping dishes stocked, the coffee/tea service was prompt...there is a small room for improvement in plate clearance. Being a bit more attentive to clearing used plates would certainly elevate the dining experience even further. Adding to that, we noticed that salt and pepper cruets weren't always consistently placed on every table, so ensuring those are readily available would be a great way to enhance convenience for guests. Additionally, Katamaran could significantly boost its appeal by offering complimentary access to its aquatic sports amenities, such as paddle boats, water bikes, and kayaking. We realized the free activities were not as popular though. Overall, with stunning views, excellent warm personalized service, I would highly recommend this hotel and will not hesitate to stay here again."

"The hotel is slightly away from main centre . The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to help. The rooms are lacking sockets near the bed so if you need to charge phones or else it’s a problem. However, after asking they supplied me with an extension (not pretty but worked ) The pool is lovely and has an amazing view at sunset . The pool has an area which is set up as a pool side bar but unfortunately not set up. There was building work being done which I was warned when booking but didn’t expect them still making noise after 8pm. Breakfast starts at 6 but not total inand items added slowly. I had to take first shuttle bus to airport at 7 and until 645 no eggs or non Indonesian dishes. Shuttle bus driver to airport was also late 10 minutes but luckily airport is close . All said , again the staff were extremely courteous and very apologetic for delays etc. but it’s a shame as hotel has great potential and could do a lot better"

"The hotel is very centrally located, and from my balcony I was able to enjoy an exceptional view of the harbour, accompanied by a stunning sunset that I will never forget. Although the hotel is not particularly new, the service was excellent throughout my stay. Rooms are kept in pristine conditions, and are provided with all amenities you need. At street level there is a convenient minimart with an ATM, as well as a few shops within the same building. The restaurant also offers barbecue options at very reasonable prices. In addition, the swimming pool was remarkably clean and cosy, featuring another spectacular view over the harbour. I only spent one night there, but it is definitely an experience I will always remember."

"Beautiful boutique hotel, attentive staff. The hotel grounds consist of a beautiful green garden with a free form pool that looks out to the sea. Very relaxing to just chill and do nothing by the pool. Spacious rooms and windows look towards the sea for beautiful sunsets. However, breakfast buffet needs improvement taste wise. Although there is variety, it is far from delicious. Tasteless fried rice, noodles, and pastries that a doughey. Even the jam spread provided comes out chunky like a hard jelly. Room shower water pressure is on the weaker side. Hotel is a 20 min walk to tourist street in town, which is ok in bright daylight but a little scary at night as the streetside is dark , quiet and walkway flanked by shrubs and tall grass."

"This hotel is pretty good, very close to the airport. The surrounding area is also quite lively, located right on a main street. However, one issue is that it's quite noisy because it's very close to the sea, so you can hear boat engines and motorcycle engines. The hotel even provides earplugs because of this. Other than that, everything else is great. You step right out onto the beach, and you can go for a run along the coast for about two to three kilometers."

"The only downside was the sound of the Muslim call to prayer. There's a big loudspeaker right next to the house, and it starts playing prayers at 4 AM every day, which really disturbed our sleep. If you're a light sleeper, you should definitely reconsider. Even if you're a heavy sleeper, it'll still wake you up. However, the location is indeed very convenient, right off the main street, and the service was good. The front desk staff were very friendly and even arranged for early breakfasts for us when we had early morning tours or flights."

"We had an overnight in Labuan Bajo before our morning flight to Maumere. I wanted something close to the airport but also close to food options near the main strip in town since we had no motorbike or driver arranged for the day. Value for money this was good choice. The room is huge and had two AC units, a small two seater dining table, a sofa and big fridge in the room. Kettle, coffee and tea were also provided in the room. The staff were nice, and helped with arranging our AM taxi. Overall would stay again if only going to be in LBJ for 1-2 nights but not really a place to chill. No pool or real view on the lower floors. One last thing to note, the hotel is close by to the main strip/street with lots of restaurants, cafes and shops / grocery stores but you have to walk up and down a steep hill. Ok for us but maybe not ok for elderly."
