"Having stayed at three Dormy Inn hotels – Wakayama, Oita, and Omiya – this one, in Omiya, was the least impressive overall. However, it still surpasses most Japanese hotels in the 600 JPY price range. The main issue is that half the rooms face a wall and a large cemetery. Also, the Sky Onsen can't really be considered a true open-air bath. Perhaps because of the diverse clientele here, the onsen's cleanliness wasn't particularly great. One thing worth mentioning is that they accommodate guests with tattoos; as long as you cover them with two 10x10 cm tattoo stickers, you can use the onsen. This is quite welcoming, as judging people based on their appearance is outdated and impolite. Finally, there are many convenience stores downstairs, and a very clean and well-stocked drugstore (though prices are slightly higher). It's also very close to the station, so the value for money is still excellent. I would choose to stay here again when visiting Omiya."

"The young man at the front desk of the store has a good attitude and is very kind. Every question will be answered. The older ones may have been cheated by Chinese people before, so they are very wary. For example, when you leave the hotel, you must hand over the key to the front desk for safekeeping, and after checking out, you must leave the hotel and cannot wait in the lobby. Young people don't have any of these broken rules. It doesn't matter how long you take as long as it doesn't disturb others resting in the lobby. I probably won't stay in this hotel again."

"The hotel is a five-minute walk from Omiya Station, which is a major plus as it's very close to the subway. There are also frequent trains to the city center, and plenty of dining, entertainment, and shopping options nearby, including a beautiful large park! The service was truly outstanding. I asked the front desk for local food recommendations, and they quickly printed out a food map for me. There were quite a few tour groups staying there, but my room was spacious and comfortable, and being on a high floor offered beautiful views. If you need cleaning, you just need to let the front desk know in advance. On the downside, it's quite a distance from central Tokyo, requiring multiple transfers, so you need to pay attention to your directions. Also, there's a cemetery nearby, and you can see it from the room if you open the window. Something to consider if that bothers you."

"It's perfect for solo travelers. The shower room and powder room were both clean. It was my first time staying at a capsule hotel, and the women-only area was quiet and safe. I didn't use the food and drink bar, but when I looked in late at night, there were only men there, so I thought it would be nice if the eating area was larger. I was also able to leave my luggage there before check-in, which was helpful."

"I came to this hotel to watch a concert in さいたまスーパーアリーナ. It's about 8 minutes away from Shinto Shinto Station, and the environment is very quiet. The hotel is not very new, and the decoration is ordinary, but the room is large, which is very good at this price. The front desk staff are very friendly I am older and don't speak foreign languages, but my attitude is very friendly. There is no self-service check-in. It is a 3-star hotel so there is no entertainment. If you just want to rest, it is no problem. It is worth a try."

GGuest UserWe knew the hotel was near the train station but didn't know how close it was! The building it was in and around it had many food options with a really delicious bakery on the 2nd floor. Not far from the Cocoon City Mall and the Saitama Super Arena, it has easy access to travel within and outside of the Saitama area. We were lucky enough to catch the Art Aquarium Exhibit at the arena which was a delightful treat. The hotel staff were courteous and attentive and the rooms were comfortable with all the necessities for our group. Would definitely recommend and return whenever we want to visit Saitama or Tokyo again!

LlidachouThis hotel was a fantastic find! The large public bath on the second floor was super convenient, making it unnecessary to shower in the room and keeping the room dry. A 14.8 sqm room was perfectly adequate for one person. All rooms face south, so the futons get sun exposure daily, and you can open the windows for ventilation, which is a big plus. The mini-fridge has an on/off switch, so you can turn it off to reduce noise and energy consumption if you don't need it. The room was brand new and odor-free. If you don't leave your room before 10 AM, they won't clean it that day, but you can leave your trash bin outside your door for staff to empty. No water is provided in the room, but there's a Lawson and 7-Eleven within 10 meters downstairs. On the first floor, you can self-service toiletries, tea bags, and ice cream bars. Electric bicycles are available for rent at the entrance. Getting to Tokyo and Shinjuku is easy, but make sure to take the rapid or limited express trains on the subway, as the local trains that stop at every station can be a bit of a drag. For 390, the room rate includes breakfast and two hot spring baths a day. It's less than a 10-minute walk from Omiya Station. The east exit has Takashimaya, while the west exit has Sogo and 0101 (with a large Montbell on the first floor where you can get tax refunds). There are also plenty of dining options nearby. Windsor Racket is about 10 meters to the left in front of the hotel, though they don't have many new arrivals. Inside the station, you'll find Lumine and Lumine 2, which includes Beams. Isomaru Suisan is just 50 meters outside the west exit of the station. Omiya is also a Shinkansen station, making it very convenient to go north to Karuizawa. It only took about an hour from the hotel to the Karuizawa Outlet. The station itself is huge and often sells delicious and reasonably priced local strawberries, tomatoes, and apples. There's also a branch of the famous Sembikiya strawberry cream sandwich shop inside the station. The hotel's breakfast was incredibly rich and satisfying, mainly Japanese-style with plenty of soups and dishes. The value for money is exceptional. They also offer unlimited free takeaway coffee every day. I feel like this is the most cost-effective hotel I've stayed at in Japan. Staying for a full week costs about the same as one night in the city. It's an absolute steal!

The self check-in and check-out, laundry machine, amenities, free coffee/tea and breakfast, and the room itself is perfect. This will be my choice again next time if I come back to this area.

GGuest UserThe location is great, especially for accessing Shinsadong. Considering Shinsadong is generally a bit off the beaten path, this location is actually quite good.
The welcome drink, however, was disappointing and its availability seemed inconsistent. As for the complimentary amenities offered at the entrance, I felt some staff members gave me judgmental looks, making me feel watched – as if I was taking too many. This was strange because I only took one per day, or sometimes none at all, yet I still had this odd feeling of being monitored.
On a more positive note, housekeeping was incredibly quiet, which was perfect for relaxing even if I slept in late. I enjoyed the train view from my room (though I understand not all rooms have this). Overall, most of the staff were friendly. The bathtub was small, but the water quality was excellent.

2201167****Every time I visit Japan, no matter where I go first, my last stop is always Tokyo. And when I'm in Tokyo, Urawa Pines Hotel is my absolute top choice. While it's located at Urawa Station in Saitama Prefecture, it's incredibly close to Tokyo, and the transportation is unbelievably convenient. Let me elaborate:
* **To Ueno or Tokyo:** No transfers needed, and you can take a rapid train.
* **To Ikebukuro or Shinjuku:** Again, no transfers, and a rapid train gets you there quickly.
* **To Karuizawa:** Just hop on the Shinkansen at Omiya Station.
* **To Yokohama:** Direct train, no transfers. You can even get directly to Odawara and Atami.
Besides the convenient transportation, the shopping is also a big draw, with Isetan and PARCO right at the station exit. The small street leading to the hotel is a bustling food street, full of delicious options.
But the best part, ultimately, is the hotel itself. The rooms are spacious, bright, comfortable, and cozy. Even the smaller rooms are 24 square meters, and the larger ones are 32 square meters – which is almost unbelievable in Japan, where space is at such a premium. What's even more surprising is the price.
For anyone doing a self-guided tour of Japan, Urawa Pines Hotel should be your first choice. Highly, highly recommend it!!!

GGuest UserI stayed at this hotel at the end of November 2025. It was conveniently located, clean, quiet, and had a delicious and varied breakfast. The only issue was the strange, long pillow made of some kind of tubes, which made sleeping very unusual. The location is excellent, and I'd especially like to point out that it's within walking distance of Omiya Station, a Shinkansen stop. Along the way from the subway/trains, or rather, from the station, there are many convenient stores, as well as the huge Lumine shopping mall. By the way, it's a great place if you want to be close to Tokyo and also be practically the only tourist in the city (that's the impression I got). Thank you for a wonderful stay, I recommend it.

The bed was Simon and the bed was very comfortable. I was able to spend without any inconvenience. I will make a reservation next time.
