Fell in love with Il Moresco the first time we stayed in 2012. Still in love with it now. Formal yet friendly, relaxed yet respectful: this is truly one of life's special places. From the bottom of our hearts: thank you, Salvatore & everyone - you know we'll be back.

We had a lovely week at this hotel. Everyone was really friendly. Our room was spotless and very comfortable. Huge bed and great shower. Lovely bathroom products. Breakfast choices were excellent. Lunches by the pool were lovely. Almost everything we wanted was walking distance. Restaurants, shops, ferries, buses and the beach. Hotel pools were great, lovely temperature. Also a very good indoor hydrotherapy pool. Sun loungers were really comfortable. We would definitely stay again.

Such a fantastic stay, the whole team made it an absolute joy. They were friendly, helpful, and patient (I was practicing my not so good Italian and they were very encouraging). As a solo traveller, they made the experience so welcoming that I will 100% be visiting them again. Thank you for a super relaxing and enjoyable holiday :)

The hotel is relaxing and clean and beautiful. Great service with free transfer. We were spoiled.

This hotel has it all. Great location- walk to the port or the castle; on the ocean and near the main shopping district. They have a shuttle that will take you to the port. Taxis on Ischia are very pricey (no meters that I could find) so the shuttle is a great bonus. The building has a wonderful old world feel, and the rooms are quiet and peaceful. The beds are comfortable and the linens crisp (I love that). Lots of soft towels as you use them. The thermal pools are perfect and clean, and a joy to use even when the weather is a bit iffy. The beach area is fine, with lots of chaises and a beach attendant who was attentive and friendly. The hotel staff could not have been better. All the front desk staff speaks good English and are very helpful. Got a great recommendation for dinner in town (Ristorante Dortas - no need to go to Naples for Pizza, as this one is fabulous) The breakfasts are wonderful and the chef makes great omelettes. Fresh squeezed OJ to start your day. The restaurant staff are terrific, all in white suit jackets like the finest (old world) establishments. The housekeeping folks are always greeting you happily (“buongiorno!”) I would like to say congratulations to the Manager, Mr. Cipolleta. Somehow the staff is always ready to help and seem to enjoy their jobs. To hear the staff laughing with the guests is wonderful and a rare thing. It’s not easy to find a hotel of this quality.

Just returned after a fabulous week to celebrate my 70th birthday at the end of this month. We were upgraded to the garden suite which was quite amazing food service staff are all fantastic kind thoughtful and attentive. Have stayed before 16 years ago loved it then and adored it this time thank you so much to all staff and manger Salvatore. It has made us very happy ❤️

A return visit last month to this wonderful hotel made me realise that the 7 year gap in between had been far too long. From the moment of arrival to the departure two weeks later I had a thoroughly enjoyable and memorable stay. The hotel is perfection - from the immaculately kept garden, the enticing pools and the food. The breakfast choice was plentiful, ranging from eggs, bacon and sausages to fresh fruit, pastries, yoghurts and many other options. Hot drinks were brought to your table. I decided on half board and was very glad I did. The pre a la carte buffet was superb - fresh fish, Parma ham, melon, salads - enough to satisfy stomachs even before a canope, first and main courses were ready to be consumed. There were various choices available for each course, all of them beautifully presented and delicious and then if you had any room left there were amongst others fabulous cakes, desserts, chocolates, fresh fruit and fruit salad. I ate like a king and the diet needs to start soon! A special mention to the waiters and waitresses and those who worked at the pool bar. Their care and attention to all guests was impeccable and I for one being on my own was very grateful for this. I was well looked after by each and every one of them. All those employed by the hotel including the reception and housemaids were so very helpful, and always had a smile on their face which added to the stay. Position wise the hotel is midway between Ischia Ponte and the port, approximately 15 minutes walk to each so perfect should you wish to explore either or take a trip from the port to various places such as Procida, Capri and Naples or catch a boat for a trip around the island. If your choice is simply to have a relaxing time then this is the perfect place to do so with sunbeds which are always available by the pool and also at the private beach area where you will witness a perfect view of the castle and the sparkling blue sea as you watch the boats go by ahead of you and the islands beyond. For the first time in many a year I was not ready to return home and I hope my next visit to my absolutely favourite hotel will not be too far ahead in the future.
