Hotels in Tianfu International Airport/Jianyangnan Railway Station, Jianyang

Chose Holiday Inn because it was one of few hotels in Changdu to offer Non-Smoking Rooms. And the guaranteed 1600 check out time since our flight ETD was 1825. Alas the experience is less than stellar. First was the weird request to reserve the free airport pick up at least 2hrs in advance! Luckily, I asked our guide to do the reservation and he told us to meet the shuttle at T1 4F door 21 around 1825. The shuttle did arrive at 1828. The check in lady spoke good English, honoured our 1600 late checkout, advised and booked us to depart the hotel on their 1500 shuttle upon hearing our international flight was 1825. Room is pretty standard for 4 star Chinese hotels - with a dizzying array of switches and the usual modern looking shower with impractical features - no place to put your towels within easy reach while showering. It is not the worst though. Hotel is in a cluster of hotels around a 'food street' that was pretty sad state with little food and dining traffic. We opted to eat at the food stalls set up just across the road from the hotel. Hotel breakfast did have some western food but NO butter in the toast bread section! Due to it's distant location, we opted not to take a 2h public transport to Chengdu central but went to the central of the Jianyang satellite town that the hotel was in. Took 30min and 2 CNY pax. The other difficulty was trying to get back to hotel. The hotel doesn't show up in Amap or Didi app! Luckily, Amap does have the next door Ji Hotel which worked to guide us back.

Wonderful experience staying here. It is so convenient to fly out from the Airport- checked in our bags 12 hours ahead at the door step of Hotel. Breakfast was elaborate. Given a free upgrade to executive room.

One of the best airport hotel I have been to as I expect most airport hotel including the international chain as small and utility type. This hotel is luxurious and come complete with full service and amenities. It has a spa right next door. The room is large and clean. Bed is comfortable and the sound proof is excellent. The breakfast has a large international spread. The location is right next to the Airport terminal building with a connected indoor linkway to both terminal 1 and 2 of Tianfu Airport.

Very close to the airport. Comfortable rooms. There was a strange smell in the hotel. The staff were very helpful and helped to organise a shuttle bus to the airport very early in the morning. They even gave us a wake up call to make sure we were ready on time. There were a couple of very good restaurants within walking distance too. I recommend it for people that need to be near an airport.

This hotel was perfect for my stay near Tianfu International Airport—spotlessly clean rooms, super comfortable bed, great showers, and kind, professional staff. The free shuttle made getting to the airport effortless, and the location couldn’t be better with restaurants nearby. For the price, it’s absolutely worth it. Highly recommend for anyone with an early flight, overnight layover, or quick stop—it has everything you need!

I absolutely loved the hotel's tropical design, which had a distinct Southeast Asian courtyard feel. The facilities were excellent, and it offered great value for money. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and they even upgraded me for free to a larger standard room. Plus, there's a complimentary airport shuttle service. Thumbs up!

I've stayed at Tianfu International Hotel several times now, primarily because of its convenient location just a 15-minute drive from the airport. The hotel also provides a dedicated shuttle bus service to and from the airport. The lobby is very grand and opulent. The front desk staff were highly professional and welcoming, even personally escorting me to my room door. The hotel boasts extensive grounds, featuring a massive courtyard. Naturally, the environment is superb, and it caters to all your dining and shopping needs. The rooms are incredibly spacious and comfortable. The bathrooms feature a separate wet and dry area, the bedding is plush, and the air conditioning keeps the room pleasantly cool. The breakfast absolutely lives up to five-star standards. I will certainly continue to choose Tianfu International Hotel for all my future trips to Chengdu.

This hotel is one of the Wanhui Center hotels near Jian Railway Station. It's a quick and comfortable option for transiting through Tianfu Airport or catching an early flight. I wasn't very satisfied with the hotel I stayed at last year, mainly because of the smoke smell and poor hygiene. This time, I chose Starway because it's relatively new and a member of Huazhu Club, which guarantees quality. I hadn't heard of Starway before, but I decided to give it a try. The room wasn't large but clean, the bedding was comfortable, and the shower was large and drained well, though the water flow was low. The non-smoking room I requested didn't smell like smoke. The room phone only worked with the front desk and the hotel. There's a self-service laundry room, but I didn't use it, so I can't comment on it. Hotels here offer free airport shuttles. You need to call at least two hours in advance to reserve a shuttle. Add the hotel on WeChat and they provide real-time WeChat service. They're very accommodating for early or late arrivals, and the waiter even offered to help with luggage. The ride takes half an hour. Breakfast starts at 7:00 AM, but since I couldn't get breakfast on my early flight, the hotel packed up some milk bread. The service was okay, though unlike last year's hotel, they didn't chase guests for good reviews, which the front desk didn't even mention. The area around the restaurant is much busier than last year, with a lot more restaurants, small supermarkets, and souvenir shops. However, the food in the restaurant is really not that good. Don't expect too much. It's a layover, just don't be hungry at night. I plan to take my family back to Sichuan next year, and we will stay at this hotel again during the layover.

It was a very satisfying stay. The front desk staff including Li Xia, Li Yan, Wang Fei, Wang Kai, Tian Wenyi, Zhou Hongwei, Yu Jianwen, Fang Fang, Xu Qin, Liu Yusi, etc. were very patient and meticulous. I have become a member of Ascott and will book a room at the member price next time. It is very good and I like it. The hotel's decoration is British style, simple and low-key. Next time I come, I will recommend my friends to book this brand of hotel. Breakfast time is 07:00-10:00. If you have purchased breakfast, you can just swipe your room card to eat at the restaurant. Parking is free, and you don’t need to enter your license plate number, you can just drive out, which is very convenient; It is about 2 kilometers away from the main venue of the Expo, a 25-minute walk, or an 8-10-minute taxi ride. It is about 600 meters away from the subway entrance and there is a shuttle bus directly to the venue, which is very convenient. The room is very exquisite, the bathroom decoration is very comfortable, and there is an alarm clock with unlimited charging sockets. Thumbs up It is a brand hotel under Ascott Singapore. The decoration style is elegant and the color matching is very beautiful. The light and shadow effect of the lobby is the highlight. Suggestion: Improve air conditioning maintenance, the room is not soundproofed.

Advantages: The room is large, the bedding is comfortable and soft, the service attitude is very good, there are freshly cooked noodles and hot and sour noodles for breakfast, and the lettuce in the hot dishes is very delicious. The TV in the room can be projected. The three-part bathroom is very convenient, and the amount of water for bathing is very large. Disadvantages: Airport transfer takes a lot of time. I got off the plane at 6:30 on May 29; I arrived at Gate 23 at 19:15 and started waiting for the bus; The bus arrived at the airport pick-up point at 19:40, and the driver helped to place the luggage when getting on the bus; The bus left at 20:00; Arrived at the hotel at 20:30; I checked in and entered the room at 20:45. It took a full hour and a half from waiting for the bus to entering the room. The height and angle of the shower head bracket in my room cannot be adjusted. Because the water pressure is high, the bath water will spray onto the opposite wall at an angle parallel to the ground, and I can only hold the shower head with one hand to take a bath. The overhead shower was blocked, and water was sprayed in all directions, and each water column was thin and scattered. Because it was late when I took a shower and my luggage was spread out, I didn't go to the hotel front desk. In general, although the hotel has some inconveniences, the price is cheap, so the cost performance is high.
