We have stayed at this hotel a few times now and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again when we next return to Rhodes. The hotel is kept spotlessly clean both inside and out. The staff are all so friendly and keen to make sure you have the best stay at their hotel.

Date of trip 30/6/2023 We arrived at the hotel at 3am after a delayed flight. We were greeted with smiling, pleasant staff who insisted on making us something to eat and brought this to our room while we unpacked. The stay was perfect, amazing family run hotel, nothing was too much trouble, we loved the rooms, pool area was very clean as was the rest of the hotel. The bar is open 24/7 and we always received service with a smile. Great air con & rooms were cleaned daily. Staff knew our names by day 2 which felt very warming and we felt like part of the family! The pool bar snacks are very tasty and there is a good selection of drinks available at both the pool bar and the hotel bar. Good sun beds with some shaded areas. The location is fabulous with a 10 minute walk to the centre of Faliraki where you will find amazing restaurants, bars & shops. Staff helped us to organise a quad rental and gave us information on local buses and trips. Staff work very hard around the clock at this hotel to make it a pleasant stay. I cried on the last day of our trip as I didn't want to leave! We feel very saddened to know about the current fires in Rodos & we are praying that everyone is safe. We are hoping to rebook and stay at Telhinis again in September (we loved it that much). Hopefully see you again in September! Megan & Liam x

3 of my friends and I visited Telhinis Last week 11th- 18th of July. We didn’t expect much purely because of the price. But my god I would never go back here. Let’s start with the minor issues: On arrival I was informed that my room was unfinished I presumed it would be something like a missing towel ect. It was actually an exposed electrical socket in the bathroom just next to the shower !!! This issue got fixed 4 hours later. I then went to have a shower and put it into the hot setting to only find out the shower produced ice cold water only. I made a complaint to the main man at reception and I was not given any sympathy- I was told to have not gone in the shower as I should have known about the issue with no hot water that day ( I was never informed) !! Oh and to top it off the fridge was pouring with water, balcony door was only fitted with 1 of 2 locks. Light was not fitted onto the wall properly , acid / water / mould stains across the interior wall. Let’s not even get started on the sewage drain leaking near the pool. The issue that made me the most upset was the following : It was the hottest evening 37°c all night and at 4:40am I woke up to a broken air con unit. It was now 45°c in our room. I felt so sick and suffocated. The staff said they couldn’t touch the machine as they had a 3 year warranty and without sympathy told us to go back to sleep and they would sort it the next day. My boyfriend and I asked to move room as we presumed there would be a spare one with perhaps a working AC unit - there wasn’t one so I demanded to look at the spread sheet of the rooms and names allocated to them. What would they have done if our bathroom flooded ? Lights didn’t work ? It is clear they aren’t for us customers but more focused on the yield of money coming in. We had no sleep and I threw up all night because of the heat in the room triggering heatstroke. Appalling. Without a mention of the phrase ‘ we’re sorry’ or ‘ we apologise’. Rated 2 stars as we can’t knock it down anymore purely based on the price of the place. Cheap and not so cheerful. The pool was the only nice part about this place ( once they’d fixed the drain).

We have just spent 2 weeks at Telhinis Hotel. We had a wonderful time . We were very well looked after by Mike and Susan. The staff are all very friendly and do everything they can to make your stay enjoyable. Our room had great views overlooking the sea.The rooms were very comfortable, with air con and mosquito screens Had a great night's sleep every night. The beds were very comfortable and we woke up feeling refreshed. Breakfast had plenty of variety,Full english/cereal/fruit and juice/tea/coffee, taken in the comfortable outside dining area. The pool was spotlessly clean and there were plenty of sunbeds. The bar was well stocked and we were served by Chris. He was very helpful and a very cheery guy. The hotel is a nice 10 minute stroll to the beach, with restaurants within 5 minutes. In summary,we had an excellent stay, with wonderful Greek hospitality at this family run hotel. Thanks Mike and Susan for everything and we will be back soon.

It's not my first time here and the reason is because I like this hotel very much. It's always a pleasure to come and relax in a place where the owners and the staff cuddle you, and make you feel at home. What I like mostly is that you can stay far from the noise that sometimes you can find in a place like Faliraki and enjoy your time relaxing at the swimming pool with a cold drink and some food. You can even work if you are not 100% free like I was this time. The pool is always clean and the water is clear and fresh. The lounge bar is open 24 hours and the prices are so cheap that I can easily say you can't find the same bargain outside this hotel. Michalis and Susanna and Makis and all the staff are always very willing to help their customers for everything they need. Regarding the room They provide you with a very comfortable memory foam mattress, a fridge to put drinks and food inside, Tv, the bathrooms have been refurbished and the cleaning lady is really clever. I like the vintage style of the bedrooms and the fact that they have also family rooms with a big terrace, kitchen and washing machines. Every time I leave the hotel they agree to keep one bag from me so when I come back We don't have to carry things again and again and this is really a plus. Regarding the prices I think you can't find a better offer in town. If you have a late flight you can use the showers downstairs and the bathroom, and of course wi fi free everywhere. Air condition and full breakfast available and this is nice because you can decide if you want to pay for that or not.

Some good points, more bad than good. Travelling with another couple. Arrived after a long journey and had to wait 1.5 hours for rooms to be cleaned, even then the cleaner was still in one of the rooms. Rooms are dated but clean, adequate space with fridge, mosquito nets on balcony doors and TV. Cockroach in one room and lizard in the other. Showers were ok if you could get hot water and didn’t mind a flood each time you used them as not doors but I think it’s meant to be a wet room but takes so long to drain we ended up using towels to dry floor. By the 4th day we found that the sun was too much for the curtains that only covered 2/3 Of our balcony doors (our friends just cover the whole of theirs) and woke us at 6am each morning so we asked if they had anything we could use to cover the gap, we were told the manager will attend to this for us, this did not happen, resulting in very little lay ins which I expect on holiday. The bar was cheap, we spent most evenings here however it did run out of beer so we explained that we would not be drinking there until it was restocked and this was done two nights later. Marcus the bar manager was wonderful and very helpful. He was definitely apart of the hotel that was good. Breakfast was okay, egg options cooked to order, however this did feel like the man did not want you to order, as he was busy, cornflakes, rolls, croissants and tea, coffee and squash. There was fruit and yoghurt but this was limited and you had to be very very quick. The waitress was very nice and friendly. Pool was run down, cracked tiles around the pool the pergolas had seen better days, during our stay one of the heavy wooden legs came crashing down missing me by inches, we went to the reception to explain to the owner, she said they kept fixing it and it kept happening she would send her husband down, he did not arrive so we left it on the floor and when going back to our room explained again to the bar and also our friends spoke to the manager who took our room number, we did at the least expect an apology but this did not happen, there was no mention of it and it seemed that they avoided the situation. This was very dangerous and could have hit a child. The pool had what looked like white blocks for cleaning thrown in that stayed on the top so these were to be avoided while swimming, generally it was scummy. They cooked me a pizza at €6 which was lovely, this seemed to be the only food available apart from cheese and ham toasties or crisps. The hotel is on a hill which gives lovely views but a bit of a walk back up. Shame about the problems as this could be a lovely hotel.
