...a bit overpriced if you get an old cabin that had not been maintained. Lovely location and very serene. Hell of a starry night when we went. Just be aware most of the cabins are privately owned and the one we stayed in was in need of upgrading and just some general maintenance like replacing flyscreen mesh die to holes, missing fan control knob. There was a big hole in the wall where an airconditioner used to be that should have been covered up. It seems the owner of cabin 40 does not want to put any money into their investment, just milk it for all it is worth. The fridge door had no support rail to store you tall bottles upright and the freezer did look like Antarctica. Golf course was in excellent condition and staff at reception very friendly and helpful. The perimeter road needs alot of work due to pot holes (really needs a complete resurface) but I understand this is a council issue, not KVGR.

Below is a complaint email I sent these guys. We stayed in cabin 40 that had no upgrades since its was built....1970's! Hello, I booked a cabin as a birthday present for my wife and we stayed there this weekend just gone and were in cabin 40. Given the nightly tariff of $235 with a minimum of a two night booking, I must say the condition of the cabin, coupled with what you didn't get, made it poor value for money. I will list the issue below and provide photos as well. No wifi - I cannot think of a single place we have stayed in, a cafe we have dined at that doesn't provide free wifi. I believe most backpacking hostels provide it but for $235 a night, it is not included, nor even available. Holes in flyscreens rendering their purpose useless. Looks like the mesh has not been changed in decades. The freezer in the bar fridge somewhat useless as it was half filled with ice build up. The bottom rail on the fridge door missing meaning you could not securely store bottles upright in the door. Two bottles of soap / dishwashing liquid on the bench next to the sink, totally empty. A ceiling fan in the bedroom that was missing the knob on the switch plate. Not one single tissue in the cabin. A BBQ on the deck that not only had the igniter cable disconnected, but the gas bottle totally empty. If it is not in working order, why is it there??? One of the bedside lamps not working because it was plugged into a power board that was not plugged into an electricity source. Electricity cables all exposed in that area that were a potential tripping hazard. The bitumen road around the perimeter of the grounds was full of exposed pot holes. Other things that made zero sense was a pod coffee machine was on hand, but no pods supplied. A DVD player provided but no DVD's supplied This is simply not acceptable for any price, let alone what I paid for it. I will be putting this feedback on to sites such at Trip Advisor (I can see there are reviews on there similar to my complaint) to warn future people of what to expect should they be considering staying there. Obviously, we will not be coming back.

Our 3 days at the resort was so relaxing, and the accommodation has everything you need, plenty of room and stunning views from the big veranda. The views are breathtaking and the second we got there we were completely relaxed. You feel like you are a world away from everything, very peaceful. Steve and the lady at reception were so lovely, they make the experience of checkin, golfing and checkout so nice - super friendly. The golf - we just did for casual hit and giggle was fantastic, as we went around, the views and beautifully maintained course is very special to experience. I’d highly recommend staying and playing here!

We had a beautiful weekend with our friends playing golf, watching the gorgeous views. Our stay was made perfect by the amazing service from the fabulous Steve White. He makes the place so warm and friendly. We have been coming for years and he’s one of the main reasons why we return.

The setting is fabulous, the staff are good, the facilities are ok-ish. The problem, I think, is that the resort somewhat over sells and under delivers. For example, the restaurant is only open 2 nights per week, there is no bar, there is no wifi in the cottages and the interior of the one we stayed in was very dated. This evening we are staying in a motel for about 1/3rd of the price of this place and we are very happy with it because it sells itself accurately. It’s a shame. Had our expectations been managed a bit more accurately we probably would have enjoyed it a lot more.

We booked 1 bedroom cabin for 2 nights for 2 adults and one toddler. Only 2 towels provided, external lights didn’t work which made it unsafe to unload the car. The dining room was very sticky, we wiped it multiple time but that didn’t help, some cutlery and plates were dirty, kitchen window had spider web Very disappointed with the cleanliness and the experience. It is unfortunate because we stayed there in 2020 and loved it.

We booked a cabin through air bnb and found the Kangaroo valley golf and country retreat such a beautiful location. Nestled in a green golf course and bush surrounds you can guarantee to see plenty of kangaroos and wombats. There was a pool, tennis courts, giant chess set and volleyball so kids have lots to do outside. The town is a short drive and a good pub for food. The golf course is awesome and challenging and carts for hire.

Played golf with friends and stayed in a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom deluxe villa as part of the 'midweek quickie package'. Great and comfortable villa. Spacious living area with deck on to the beautiful golf course and regularly visited by king parrots. Villa well set out, excellent equipped kitchen, good heating + bed linens (although king sized beds are very firm and could do with mattress toppers). Loved our stay and will stay again.

The 2 bedroom villa was a wonderful surprise- very well appointed, spacious, clean and tranquil. Enjoying breakfast on the large deck as the mist lifted in the valley below was rejuvenating. Loved seeing all the wildlife and a beautiful green vista from the villa. There is plenty to entertain a family (aside from golfing ) including a swimming pool and the village is only 4kms away. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to enjoy the course or the restaurant in the resort but a return visit is on our list.
