Schönes Hotel direkt am Strand mit geräumigen Zimmern. Nur ein paar Gehminuten von Stadtzentrum und Hafen entfernt. Frühstücksbuffet ist eher schwach, definitiv keine 5 Sterne.

A well accommodated hotel with a friendly staff. Very well kept clean and organized. A beautiful infinity POOL Bar with good and welll matained beds and unbrellas. One of the nices and Best poolbar crews I have experienced sofar!!! Friendly and competend. Also a nice spa and a actual gym, not just a dark basement room with broken old equipment.

I would advise against staying at the Alimounda Mare hotel due to several concerning issues we encountered during our visit. Firstly, we had booked a premium room with a promised sea view and paid a premium price for it, but upon arrival, we were assigned a room with a disappointing tree obstructed view. These trees obstructed our view of the sea entirely, which was not what we had paid for. When I attempted to address this matter with the hotel's reception, I was directed to speak with George, the manager. However, my attempts to meet with George were met with evasive responses, as I was consistently told that he would "be here shortly" or "just left a few minutes ago." Furthermore, the hotel's amenities left much to be desired. The Wi-Fi service and internet connection were consistently weak and often non-functional. The room was not adequately cleaned, the water pressure in the shower was exceedingly low, the in-room safe was quite small, and the balcony lacked proper lighting, making it impossible to enjoy in the evenings for reading or relaxation. It is my belief that this hotel is better suited for large groups rather than individual guests. While its location is excellent, the management appears to be careless and unresponsive to guest concerns. If you are seeking a private vacation experience in Karpathos, I would recommend choosing a small boutique hotel with a well-regarded reputation for personalized management rather than opting for a larger hotel that fails to meet its guests' expectations. In summary, I believe that the Alimounda Mare hotel falls short of deserving a 5-star rating and would more appropriately be rated at 3 stars.

Fabulous Stay Stayed on BB basis, which was what we wanted so we could walk the 10mins into town each evening So many restaurants to choose from Hotel was spotless Room perfect… it have a sea view room …. Pool great Beach great I would be only too pleased to stay again Shame not many UK guests go there, it can be a bit awkward to get to the island, but once there it was a memorial stay Look forward to a revisit

Very positively surprised! All the staff, reception, waiters, cleaners etc. have been very service minded and pleasant in every way, excellent. We have a sea view room which we would definitely recommend, the beds are very comfortable. A couple of things had to be straightened out in the room, the response was remarkable, all sorted out immediately. When it comes to the food, you are really spoiled for choice, every day something new. I’ve noticed the the food manager has his constant beady eye on things to a perfection, making sure things are done accordingly to the customers satisfaction. All in all, very good. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

The hotel is beautiful location is great. But Service and staff members were not as good as we expected They let us feel unwanted smile and good morning did not come naturally. They should take more lessons about managing a business specifically a great hotel

The rooms were good, nice interior and okay cleanliness. The hotel could use som fixing. The whole week there was a lamp loose I the children’s pool, it was just lying at the bottom, but didn’t get fixed. Tiles missing around the pool and the ladder was loose too. The staff at the breakfast buffet was were rude. Rolling eyes and laughing at you when you asked for stuff. There is thin filter coffee for breakfast and when we asked if there was a possibility for a cappuccino, we were informed by the waiter that we could get 1 cappuccino pr person every morning. We waited the 30-40 mins for this. The next morning another waiter didn’t know about this, so we had to discuss it with the waiter every morning. The breakfast buffet was just ok. Powder scramble egg, dry croissants and has brown potato’s. Dirty dishes, and the staff was emptying dishes right next to your tables. We found out on day 3 that there was an omelette station. No signs to tell you that. You had to ask. But they were great at putting up signs with restrictions, they were all over the hotel. The worst part of the hotel is the hotel manager whom is very unprofessional and an openly anti-semitist (israelic people, STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL!) I ordered a pedicure the last day in their “luxury spa”. Nothing luxurious about this. The same place where people leave their dirty towels. The “pedicurist” were clearly annoyed that I was coming. I was sat down in a leather chair with my feet on a high box. The tools wasn’t even washed or sanitised 🤢. It was the worst pedicure I have ever gotten. She filed the feet for 10 sec each and filed the nails too short and uneven. The shellac was all over my toes and the colour was uneven. (There was only 8 colours to choose from) I was charged 10 € extra to remove my previous shellac with a nail file!. The woman was FaceTiming her kids while she was doing my nails. So unprofessional! When I asked her if she could do my heels a little better I was told that she wasn’t strong enough and she didn’t have the tools for it. ***. My legs hurt so much afterwards because of the position I was in. The pedicure was about 25 mins total. I get regular pedicures every month and this was just not a pedicure. I informed the reception about my experience and they weren’t sorry. I told them that I didn’t wanna pay full price because I had to get them redone when I got home. They would talk to the hotel manager. 4 hours later I hadn’t heard back so I went to the reception again and was informed that I didn’t have to pay. Good I thought, the first time in a week with some good customer service. When I came the next morning to check out I was told that I had to pay full price for the pedicure (40€). I informed them again about the experience and showed them pictures and that I was told the day before that I didn’t had to pay. They just didn’t care and told me to talk to the hotel manager my self. The hotel manager came and he was the most uncomfortable human I have ever

The hotel is situated in a lovely bay with a private beach and a great infinity pool. However, the service at the hotel leaves more to be desired. The receptionists didn’t hear about the policy of service with a smile. Every exchange I had with them was unpleasant. The hotel management do not want you to hand things on the balcony. However they do not provide the guests with any other solution to dry their bathing suits. In most hotels I’ve been there were either clotheslines in the bathrooms or some similar contraption. Not here. They care about this so much that they called my room at nine p.m. to ask me to take something off the balcony and woke up my daughter. In short, I don’t think this hotel is a 5-star hotel, at least not in its customer service. And the staff clearly needs either a long vacation or a new vocation.
