Fischers - Kurparkhotel Bad Wilhelmshohe

At first I was a little disappointed. After all, this is a high-priced hotel in Kassel and at first glance after checking in, the hotel gave a more "standard impression" of a simple 4* business hotel. My room also faced the noisy street and was opposite a conference room. The restaurant is busy, but there is no nice bar. I would have expected more for the money. On the other hand: very friendly staff, especially at breakfast, clean, well located (walking distance to the train station and the great city park next door), good breakfast selection. So, 4 stars.

The hotel is now called "FischerS". You feel warmly welcomed and many things make the hotel excellent: -modern but cozy lobby - good lighting concept in the rooms, including a small reading lamp on each side of the bed - lots of storage space, including in the bathroom - iron and ironing board on every floor - book corner and reading chair in the hallway - excellent beds and enough pillows - spa area has been or is still being completely renovated, but you can still use it. And it has turned out very nice! We have already been able to use the sauna, ice fountain and pool, and in the future there will also be a large relaxation room - breakfast and service excellent. Everything fresh, lots of fruit and vegetables Last but not least, the great location. Close to the motorway / train station and within walking distance of the wonderful Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe.

Now operating under the name FischerS. The suite is tastefully furnished. Definitely very clean. Unfortunately, the room gets such a negative rating because of the loud conditions mentioned below. The hotel also has a lot to offer in terms of wellness. Unfortunately, this wellness area was always empty. One reason could be the low-temperature pool. An imposition. There were also no towels in the wellness area. The suite was directly overlooking a school playground. Sleeping in was out of the question here. From 10:00 a.m. the kids were loudly active in the school playground. Even closing the window, putting a pillow over their ears and earplugs... all in vain. The school playground was also a place for loud activities during the day/evening. There was no air conditioning. Therefore, the need to close the window was not a good solution given this year's temperatures.

Seldom have I seen such a committed team. It was simply lovely, even if only for a short time. The room is modernly furnished and everything you need is there. The warmth is remarkably good. I will come back. The attached restaurant (closed due to Corona) also suggested something nice. Thank you
