Sheraton Kansas City Hotel at Crown Center

Good location, it’s convenient to walk along the Link to LegoLand

During our stay in the room and the heater/fan was continuously rattling all evening long and we did not sleep at all. We tried turning the fan heater off so we could get some sleep, but it would get too cold in the room so we would have to turn it back on very restless night of sleep. I’m not sure if they don’t maintenance these Fan/heaters or something but it was very uncomfortable stay and we had to get back on the road early in the morning

Misrepresentation about free Netflix: You have purchase a subscription and it can only work on hotel's TV. False advertisement. (2) Rental movies were advertised as currently in movie theaters: Movies were over 20 years old; False advertisement. (3) Dinning substandard. If you just want a bed to sleep in without any amenities, I will give it 2 stars. Will never recommend this hotel to business associates.

Overall the hotel did not appear to be in the same condition it was in even two years ago. Generally looked a little dingy, and had a musty odor as though there was recent water damage. There was no hot water available when I went to use the shower in the evening either. Which seemed really strange for a hotel of this cost and size. None of the staff seemed to have any recommendations for nearby accommodations, and no one seemed to be aware of whether or not the bar would be open or at which time.

The front desk staff was CLUELESS. Didn't know what they were doing. I had to repeat myself 4 times on getting a room. The Bellman was NOWHERE to be found...ever. The front desk people would chat with each other without ever looking at us standing in line waiting for one them to help us. Your management of the front desk must not care ONE BIT. Because your team didnt care either. DO BETTER. The food at the conference was tasteless. Generic hotel food with NO flavor. Terrible. No imagination. Breakfast pastries were cardboard. Honestly, how do you put those out KNOWING how crappy they are. Why don't YOU eat some for a week? Miss Becky our bartender was AWESOME!! Loved her! Other than her, your staff SUCKS. DO BETTER.

The hotel was nice and the staff was great, but overall the experience ****** because after 10 minutes of checking in, the front desk checked another couple into our room and they walked in while my wife was half naked. The front desk fixed the problem and Fredosa (sp?) very kindly offered us a voucher for free breakfast. That would have been fine if it were the only issue we encountered, but it wasn't. We were in KC for a concert, and when we returned to the hotel after the show (around 12:30am), we walked into our room only to find that there was about 1.5 inches of standing water flooding our bathroom- a pipe behind the toilet was leaking. So we had to pack up all our stuff and schlep down to the front desk at 1am to be moved to a different room. I know these things happen and it's not the end of the world, but we were only there for 1 night and it's unfortunate that we encountered so many problems in such a short time. I want to recognize the outstanding service provided by Fredosa and Leexi (sp?) at the front desk -- both were very professional and understanding and definitely very guest-focused, which is great. Honestly, I've stayed at many hotels that were a lot more expensive and the service wasn't nearly as good as this property. So I really do appreciate the efforts of the staff to make things right.

Overall a good experience. The food at the restaurants in the hotel could have been better. I was there for a concert at Arrowhead Stadium. It would have been awesome if shuttle service was provided at a reasonable cost. Price was a little high, but average for downtown KC.
