Hotel Umar

Please note: as of July 23 2023, both the Trip.com app and Google maps show the address being in some farmland... This hotel is actually just a few hundred metres north of Khiva station, don't make the same mistake I did! See my screenshot of the real location with a blue tick (and the wrong location with a blue cross) So, the location is next to the train station and a 15 minute walk to the old town. I arrived at about 9 am and they check in staff weren't there, but I was allowed to enter a room, and my passport was kept at reception. I got the impression the staff on that day were not exactly sure how to process a foreign guest, but everything worked out in the end, plus they arranged a driver for me to catch a flight that evening. The room itself was comfortable for the price.
