Perfect little spot to enjoy our stay in Kingston. The suite has a little kitchen so we could make whatever meal in we chose, as there was a full size fridge & stove. Full use of the Inn to relax and enjoy, and a full breakfast was an option. Thanks to all the staff who made our stay a lovely one!

Nice accommodation in a great location just off the beaten path in a very nice residential neighborhood. It was nice sitting in the impressive gardens. The AC worked very well but strangely they completely turned it off in the evening and didn’t turn it back on until 6am or so making for an unpleasant sleeping temperature, at least for us. Aside from that we would recommend the Secret Garden Inn to anyone looking for a unique experience in Kingston, which itself was surprisingly nice!

Although short we really enjoyed our stay at the Secret Garden Inn ! The hotel is located in a calm neighborhood from which you can easily reach the city center by foot. The Victorian style house is well decorated, mixing modernity and classical style. The check in was easy and the service was simply excellent throughout the duration of our stay. Would definitely recommend if you plan to visit Kingston.

Secret Garden Inn felt just like it’s name, a lovely place tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. We were only able to stay for one night but had wonderful service and an excellent breakfast in the morning. After a long drive, we were greeted by Anatoly who invited us to sit in the amazing garden and enjoy a glass of wine. Dinner was a close walk and we had a very nice dinner. We had an issue with our room temperature and the owners came over promptly and took care of the issue although it was late in the evening. We highly recommend Secret Garden Inn.

Our new favourite place to stay in Kingston! Bedroom and bathroom were beautiful, large and newly renovated. Breakfast served every morning—there was a choice between 2 options, it was delicious! Great neighbourhood, walking distance to downtown, shopping, restaurants, parks and waterfront trail. The host and staff were friendly and helpful. We can’t wait to go back!

I have nothing but good things to say about the Secret Garden Inn. Lovely decor, clean room and comfortable bed, great breakfast, friendly and responsive staff. Location can’t be beat — close to downtown and the university, and a nice walk along the water and past the other stately old homes in the neighbourhood.

Beautiful Bedroom (McKay) and ensuite bathroom. The decor of the room was so nice and unique, we felt like royalty sleeping in there. The bed is quite tall, but luckily they have a step stool! The natural light and fireplace brought a nice warmth to the room on that cold February day. Breakfast was delicious, we both opted for the savoury crepe and it did not disappoint! We very much enjoyed our stay and would definitely book a room here again. Thanks!

My stay at the Secret Garden was just so lovely. As Queen's alumni, my friend and I met in Kingston to celebrate 20 years since we graduated. We both travel for work often and gravitated to large chain hotels for our stay, but when all the hotels in Kingston were booked or had inflated pricing, we started looking at smaller bed and breakfasts. We should have started our hotel search here. Honestly the Secret Garden Inn was the most lovely stay I have had at a hotel in years. The room was perfect, we had very cozy indoor and outdoor spaces to sit and relax and the staff was 10/10. Every evening we signed up for a gourmet breakfast the next morning with either something sweet or savory and it was delicious. The Inn is walking distance to Kingston downtown and the space itself is so beautiful I would stay here every time I came to Kingston. It was really the perfect place for our visit and thank-you to the staff (special shout out to Ani) and everyone else who made our trip so lovely.

The hotel is in an attractive Victorian building surrounded by a wide border of flowers. The location is good - quiet but near shops and restaurants. Our room was nicely furnished, spacious and comfortable, though the bed was very high and it was rather difficult to get in and out of it. My main quibble is the lack of care shown by the management. I reported a broken coffee maker twice but it was not fixed. Worse than this a fellow guest reported a blocked lavatory that was not attended to. Be warned there is no room service, so if your stay is more than a couple of days your bathroom will not be cleaned and there will be no fresh towels. It is a shame because otherwise this would be a great place to stay.
