This was the perfect place to stay in Kinsale. Directly on the harbour with beautiful views, walking distance to virtually all of Kinsale. The staff were all friendly, helpful, and provided excellent service. The rooms were luxurious and comfortable. Plenty of free parking, a rarity in Ireland. And the breakfast was delicious.

We stayed here 13 years ago, and loved it just as much this time. We were in Room 314, which they switched us to after first checking us into Room 301. There is a definite difference in window sizing, even though they are the same category apparently. We love that this hotel has an elevator, but there are a few up and downs within some of the floors, depending where your room is. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was outstanding. Location is great to just walk into town.

The Acton didn't dissapoint. It was exactly what we expected. Friendly, helpfull and well organised staff (especially at breakfast), clean room, nice view, free parking, good food, good location. If I had to fault anything, it would be the fact that the bar was unable to provide any cocktail with cream or milk. But that didn't spoil our overall stay.

The room was spacious, modern and perfectly clean. One of the best hotel showers I've used. Lunch was nice. We shared chicken wings and a goats cheese salad which set us up nicely for a walk to the fort. The leisure centre was excellent. Well kept equipment in a spacious environment. Pool area was large and also very well kept. The only let down was breakfast, the hot meals (scrambled eggs & smoked salmon for me/ eggs Benedict for herself) were both a little disappointing. To be fair we did eat right at the end of service after a workout and lesiurly swim/sauna session which could've been a lot to do with it.

We returned back to Actons, which was our wedding venue back in Oct 2021. There was a wedding on too and it all felt very nostalgic and brought back some lovely memories. We were warmly welcomed back by Lisa in reception too. We had a fab sea-view room and all we can say is wow, what a view!! It’s was so cosy and welcome, with a lovely card for our anniversary and some chocolates too! We had a lovely meal and breakfast too, with all staff welcoming and helpful! The food was amazing, especially the hot chicken wings!! Thanks for a lovely stay, we can wait to come back!

the room was beautiful, the beds ,fantastic.super clean,and staff so friendly, it made us want to stay longer. the complimentary breakfast was buffet, and delicious. a good way to start the day. such a beautiful place, we walked around town for a while, great picture taking opportunities, so close to the harbor. thank you Actons of Kinsale, for such a wonderful visit. it was our 23rd wedding anniversary tour of Ireland, and you were part of a trip that forever left its mark on our hearts!! thank you.

Fabulous location and hotel rooms were beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable. We paid for a harbour view which was definitely worth it. Staff were extremely welcoming, breakfast was great and easy parking if you have a car. All in all a great stay

Fantastic hotel. Stayed as a family with a baby over Easter. The rooms were beautifully decorated and so comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic and served in a lovely setting. All staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive. We have already stayed here a few times over the years and will certainly return! It would be great to make the bar a little more inviting for an evening drink by dimming the lights and perhaps some music. Overall a fantastic hotel and a favourite of ours!

We had a nice stay at Actons. We stayed in the family room. The second bed is a sofa bed and it is extremely uncomfortable. I would beg the hotel to upgrade the room to having a second bed instead of the sofa bed. Given the layout of the room, it can accommodate the second bed easily. The room was quiet and clean. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and the staff in the restaurant were lovely. Beware that the hotel’s car park is not large and the spaces are very tight.
