Jewels Hotel

A night at Jewels Hotel, Kota Bharu – charmingly modest yet full of pleasant surprises. We snagged a room for RM152, and despite its appearance as a budget establishment, it turned out to be delightfully comfortable. The room was spacious, elegant, beautifully furnished, everything one needs to unwind after a day of exploring. Only one small hiccup: toiletries were basic — a 3-in-1 shower gel (shampoo + conditioner) plus towel, and that’s it. No toothbrush, paste, cotton buds and so on. If those were included, I’d be rating it an A+. Some interesting colour: Jewels Hotel was formerly known as Habib Hotel and is part of the HABIB Group. Its theme, as you might guess, revolves around “jewels”, reflected in its decor and name. All in all, for value and comfort right in the heart of Kota Bharu, it hits the spot — perfect for travellers on the go wanting something pleasant without breaking the bank.

Great location. If u like street food, every Thursday, Friday and Saturday, just right in front of hotel, there will be food trucks and stalls where locals come to gather and feast.

The room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities. The bed was comfortable, and I appreciated the attention to detail in the room design. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay, always ready to assist with a smile. The check-in and check-out process was smooth and efficient.

Overall it was great experience with my husband for the trip. However the room was a bit untidy and was not that clean especially the toilet. Hopefully the hotel taking care of the management a lot more for excellent overall services Remark : the hotel is using lift that reminds me of Paris style. Vintage 💕

The lift really needs better maintenance, and the breakfast was okay but nothing special. The toilet window couldn’t be closed, and the toilets could’ve been cleaned more thoroughly since there were quite a lot of stains. On the bright side, the location is super convenient.

Location wise, near to Pasar Siti Khadijah (ehailing). We stay at a double bed room near to lift, convenient as I bring a senior citizen with me. Room space okay not too spacious. Have prayer mat, kiblah direction, shower gel & shampoo (you have to bring your own toothbrush & toothpaste), kettle and astro tv with 4-5 channels. Iron & ironboard in each floor. Room not soundproof. Breakfast spread okay (2-3 main dish, tasty). Friendly & good service from front desk. Lift was unique (transparent, pull & push) Pro : easy to get food as pasar malam was just in front of the hotel (7.30pm-10pm) Cons : parking limited, careful when ironing, cleanliness can be improved.
