Als wir durch Krems schlenderten stolperten wir über das Gasthaus Alte Post, ein Blick auf den Innenhof überzeugte uns. Frühere, eher negative Bewertungen können wir in keinster Weise bestätigen. Der Service war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, die Speisen umfangreich und äußerst wohlschmeckend. Der erst kürzlich erfolgte Eigentümerwechsel scheint, wenn man früheren Bewertungen Glauben schenkt, wahre Wunder geleistet zu haben. Dieses Restaurant ist für alle zu empfehlen, die Lust auf modern interpretierte, bezahlbare österreichische Küche haben. Lediglich die alten gestreiften Sonnenschirme stehen nicht so recht im Einklang mit dem sonst frisch wirkenden Konzept.
