The B&B is located in the scenic area, which is convenient for sightseeing. We arrived at night and called the B&B owner, who quickly came to show us the way. The room was very clean. I forgot to take pictures of the room. I booked a family suite with a loft and a small balcony. The pictures I took were the views from the balcony. When I left, the proprietress gave me a bag of Suzhou pastries. She was very enthusiastic. It was my first time staying in a B&B there, and I also saw the night view. There were also few people visiting in the morning, so it was a good experience!

A hotel with a very artistic atmosphere, close to the archway, very suitable for families. There is a tent for children to play on the balcony, various artworks made of cardboard boxes downstairs, and a small train. It is also close to the Shuangqiao Bridge.

The hotel is at perfect location of the ancient town, well decorated and large rooms with beautiful view directly to the canal. We book a duplex room which is perfect for 4 persons, with a big balcony which is very chill to sit there drinking tea and watch nice view surrounding. The host is very friendly and helpful. Especially there is a family restaurant at opposite site, owner is the hotel host's sister, you can taste all the best food of Zhouzhuang here in a family like atmosphere. We have travelled from Shanghai to Wuzhen, then from Wuzhen to Zhouzhuang, also spend a day to Suzhou which is about 50 minutes by car from Zhouzhuang, among all these places we find Zhouzhuang is the best water ancient town, it is a must visit place if you like the water ancient towns in China.

To start, the hostess was incredibly warm and welcoming. She personally came out to greet me, insisted on helping me with my luggage, and even went out of her way to help me save money on entrance tickets. As someone who's particular about cleanliness and easily bothered by noise, I can confidently say that none of that was an issue here. The entire guesthouse, both inside and out, including the guest rooms, was absolutely spotless. It's a peaceful retreat right in the heart of the scenic area, with Shen Hall and Zhang Hall just a 5-minute walk away. On sunny days, I'd happily 'lounge' in my room, taking selfies in every corner. When it wasn't too sunny, I'd relax in the courtyard and watch the beautifully kept fish – it was truly a delight! They also have a restaurant with a charming ambiance, and crucially, it was impeccably clean. The dishes were generously portioned and delicious. I ended up eating all my meals there, especially since guests receive a discount. As a solo traveler, one meal was often so substantial that I'd pack up leftovers for a second serving! If I hadn't had to cut my trip short, I would have happily stayed there for another three to five days, just relaxing and soaking it all in! Therefore, I wholeheartedly recommend this guesthouse – it offers exceptional value for money. Next time I'm in the area, without a doubt, I'll be staying here again!

Zhouzhuang Zuoshang Youjingmeisu is indeed a homestay with a good reputation, and it excels in terms of service and hygiene. Services: The butler service is considerate and thoughtful. They will drive to pick up guests, help recommend restaurants, and respond to guests' requests in a timely manner. Hygiene: The room is clean and tidy, with complete facilities. Some guests commented that the room is bright and clean, and it is a relatively new inn. Location: It is located on the banks of Shuangqiao River on Beishi Street in Zhouzhuang Ancient Town, adjacent to Zhangting to the north and Chenting to the south. It is about a 2-minute walk from the famous Shuangqiao scenic spot in Zhouzhuang, making it very convenient for travel.

During a visit to Zhouzhuang, I stayed at the Shuxiang Mansion Hotel. The hotel is located inside the ancient town, but if you check in before 5 PM, you'll need to purchase a ticket to enter. Parking is available in the parking lot outside the town, which costs 20 yuan per day. The walk from the parking lot to the hotel can be quite hot in the summer. The hotel will contact you in advance to let you know where to park. The hotel is quite nice, with a quaint atmosphere. The room is spacious and comfortable, with a TV with screen projection. There's also a coffee machine, two bottles of drinks, and two sesame cookies. Breakfast ends a bit early at 9:30 PM, but the noodles, wontons, bread, freshly squeezed juice, and coffee are more than enough for a satisfying breakfast. After check-out, we received a complimentary Zhouzhuang specialty, sock-bottom pastry. However, we could use more insect control, as there were several small flies and mosquitoes in the bathroom.

A very satisfying experience. The owner called in advance and was a gentle woman, very polite and thoughtful. I don't know how a homestay can restore the natural, soft and simple Jiangnan style. Every corner of the yard looks careless, but there are traces of freehand brushwork everywhere. Unlike the ancient towns in Yunnan, which are filled with fresh and smooth flowers, plants and stones, this yard has a sense of ”emptiness”. Everything is well-arranged, simple and elegant, spacious and pleasant, very suitable for relaxing nerves and meditating on Tai Chi. There is also a small piece of green bamboo forest in the yard. The weather has entered autumn and it is slightly cool. When the wind blows through the bamboo forest, the bamboo leaves are like musical instruments, making a sparse sound of the earth breathing, and the treetops, curtains and lanterns are shaking together. Isn't it beautiful! This hotel also has a pavilion that is not easy to be found. It is close to Nanhu Lake, facing the vast water surface and arch bridge, and you can see the houses on both sides of the lake. On a windy morning, I stood by the lake and was moved to tears 😭 The little sister and her family upgraded our room for free. The location is also excellent, and the area is much larger than the standard room. Her father took us to see the standard room. Although it is small, it is also very simple and elegant. Even if the room is not upgraded, my evaluation will not be any different, but it seems that the floor-to-ceiling windows in the parent-child room will add points to the experience, and my friend was so excited that he slept on the tatami at night. I almost wanted to snatch it from him, but then I thought, isn’t it good to have a big bed with a duvet alone? As for the room itself, since you come to the ancient town, you should have a real natural experience. The older the old house is, the more flavor it has. It seems to have grown out of this yard. It is nourished by Zhouzhuang, so it also grows in Zhouzhuang. I am honored to come to this vibrant and gentle place and have such an experience. The B&B is conveniently located right inside the scenic area. It features a very unique and charming decor. The owner is incredibly warm and hospitable; they arrange for someone to pick you up from the parking lot and proactively help with your luggage. In the evenings, they'll even message you, inviting you to the lobby to relax and enjoy some fruit and refreshments. The restaurants they recommended were also excellent, especially 'Yan Yu Jiang Nan' – it was absolutely delicious, highly recommended!

This time when I came to Zhouzhuang, I stayed in a homestay that really surprised me. The room was consistent with the picture. The decoration style was simple and elegant. I liked it very much. The bed was super comfortable, the hygiene was very clean, and the facilities were complete. I felt relieved to stay there. The surrounding transportation was also very convenient. The staff was warm and polite, and they would meet my needs as soon as possible. I will choose this homestay next time!

This inn is in such a beautiful location. I only stayed one night, but definitely want to come back and stay longer. The host was warm and friendly. We connected on WeChat the day before and she provide a waypoint for gps when booking a car. She met up with me in the pedestrian street outside of the town’s gate to guide me in and helped with the luggage. The location is very convenient. This is an ancient town so the street surfaces are stone slabs and uneven cobblestones. But going in is mostly smooth, cross one bridge and the inn is right there, about as close to the entrance and as least hassle as you can get. The waterway in front of the inn is travelled by the row boats whether they’re on the day or evening tour route so there’s plenty to people watch from the balcony. Overall a great place, great host, and highly recommended. Little tip, if you can store luggage at the airport or train station, take only what you need for your stay so you don’t have too much luggage to weigh you down for the trek in and out. The balcony rooms are walkup only.
