Stay Sakura Kyoto Ryu

I didn’t give 5 stars for this reason. Before arriving, I was told via message that the hotel could send my luggage to my next hotel in Japan, but when I asked, they said they didn’t offer this service and told me to go to a nearby convenience store instead. This caused me some trouble because I had to walk around with two very large suitcases trying to figure out how to ship them, even though I had been told at the beginning that the hotel could handle it. Everything else was fine — the room and bathroom were good. It’s just a bit noisy because the wall between rooms is thin, so you can hear guests next door. The location is fine. Overall, it’s okay, but they should update the information about the luggage service.

The hotel accomodation is cramped so not ideal for long stays. (We stayed for 3 nights). but the beds are comfortable. Also, I’m an early morning  coffee person and unfortunately the kitchen area has no table or chairs to sit on, so drinking my coffee on my bed in the dark while everyone else is still sleeping was not ideal. Having at least a stool and a fold down table in the kitchen would be I good idea for future guests. Train stations are also bit far but there are buses just around the corner for easy transportation.

This was a lovely little temporary home with a washing machine and small kitchen. Good hot water for showers, plenty of towels. The only down side was that the sofa bed for the third pet was very uncomfortable. Otherwise a great stay.
