The Westin Miyako Kyoto
The Sukiya-style annex of the Westin Miyako Kyoto was built in 1959; it was designed by Togo Murano, an important Japanese postwar architect, and is regarded as a masterpiece of modern Japanese architecture. The interior renovation by Takushi Nakamura in 2021 has greatly increased comfort and professional butler service.
Facilities: 🫣 The temperature was quite cold when I checked in at the beginning of March. Because the bedding was very comfortable, I slept soundly on the first night, but on the second night, because it rained heavily during the day, the air conditioning temperature in the room could only rise to about 20 degrees at night. The windows were not well sealed and the cold wind would come in. I had to put the small heater in the living room into the bedroom and use a large bath towel as a windbreak😂, so ⛔️ A small reminder should not be suitable for winter stays.
