Location is a little further away from station but easily accessible. Room was an absolutely lovely size compared to other places. Staff were very helpful.

We found a great deal on the Oakwood Hotel and were pleasantly surprised! The rooms aren't huge but have super comfy beds. The front desk staff were incredibly helpful on planning trips in the Kyoto area. Great location. Within walking distance with downtown Kyoto and close to metro and bus stations.

Beautiful hotel, good communal areas, central location. Breakfast with little variety for an international tourist, minimalist meal. Friendly staff, but when asked if there was a direct train connection from Kyoto to Osaka International Airport, they were unable to give us an adequate answer, giving us indications of connections that would take between two and three hours. We decided to do some research on the Internet and discovered that recently, because Osaka is hosting the next Expo, a direct line was built to the airport from Kyoto's central railway station, which got us to the airport in just over an hour and 15 minutes.

Stylish hotel with great location. Room size was generous for Japan and bathroom well appointed.

It's in a great location, close to subway, underground street (with 100 yen shop and supermarket, but not many boutiques). Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is average

Good atmosphere with an amazing staff! The hotel location is walkable to the subway. Plus, you can have free water in the lobby 24/7 and free soft drinks until 21:30.

Great hotel! 3 stars for this hotel is definitely underrated. A short walking distance to nishiki market and very near to subway station too! Very convenient. Comfortable bed as well. Overall, a very plesant stay!

we decided to extend our stay for one more day.the next day we called the receptionist to tell them that we already extended our room online,but we were told to check out by 11am and return back for check in at 3pm. we extended because we wanted to rest as we were tired. imagine even we extended we were ask to check out at 11 and check in again at 3.

Hotel is located infront of a school,generally it is clean and tidy, close to tourist spots such as Nishiki Market, multiple big malls and shopping area. Abit walking distance from metro. However it could be better if the rooms can be naturally ventilated/reduce the room temperature as it can get really stuffy and stale due to heat from heater.
