Mercure Ballarat - Hotel & Convention Centre

There are limited access round the hotel area, only 1 or 2 restaurants & the Sovereign Hill

Good to have car parking next to hotel room. Quiet and peace hotel environment. Food is good.

Bigger room compare with other motel around. The whole area likes a resort style accomodations. Very close to Souverign hill tourist area.

Check-in was fast, easy, and friendly. The check-in staff was welcoming and guided us around the important aspects of the property. The property is beautiful, with lots of trees, a walking trail, and fresh air. It is quiet and scenic, and there is something for everyone. The staff was friendly, consistently meeting you with a welcoming smile. The only discomfort we experienced was the old and tired mattress in the room, which needed to be replaced.

The room was dirty. The ground around the property. I booked the property because it was closed due to structural damage but no mention of this on wotif website. Reception didn't inform me of this either i read it on the back of a map they handed me. I rang reception to complain and was told the General Manager would call me. Still waiting 48hrs later still NO call. The buffer breakfast was disgusting. Bread stale, no real variety in hot breakfast. Scrambled eggs overcooked. Seriously i would never stay at another Mercure.

Love this place. But they need the fix retractable blind over entance door. Otherwise the whole place is impressive

The property is dated and needs an update, particularly the beds and bathroom, reception is the host modern party of the hotel. Staff were very helpful. The bed on ones in room 14 is sunken down so much, it’s so uncomfortable. The bathroom needs an update. Please get the cleaners to remove all the cobwebs and dust in the bathrooms For the price their better options in Ballarat.
