This is the third time we have stayed at this Center Parcs. We have previously stayed at Easter for a week, in August for a week and the this time have been staying for ten days. The weather has been poor and that is beyond anyone’s control. That being said, there is not much to do beyond swimming that doesn’t come with an additional cost. We came into this with our eyes wide open but are still reeling at the prices. They are taking advantage of the captive market. A beer is €8.50. There is no variation in price regardless of establishment within the park. The carrefour express on site is incredibly expensive so it is well worth stocking up in the local Intermarché in town. We have played padel a few times. It is €28 per hour. The first times we played we collected the racquets no problem. The final time we were asked for €2.50 per racquet for hire. So that becomes €38 per hour. The pool closes at 8.45 and all there is to do after that is eat or drink - more money. If the weather had been better we could have spent more time outside our own cottage but the choice has been sit in and watch TV or spend €27 on each round of drinks (family of four with two teenagers) in one of the bars. Not a patch on de Vossemeren. The lakes are ponds and are brown. I am glad my cottage does not look out onto one. Don’t pay extra for that! Feels very cheap - our last stay here was 2018 and I can’t remember it feeling like this or we wouldn’t have come back. Won’t be returning.

Bungalow VIP hyper confortable.

Off the top, it's worth mentioning that we stayed here due the reputation of Center Parcs in Ireland and it's by far the most sensible and well priced accommodation option if you're going to Disney. With that said, it was gross and I wouldn't go back! STAFF Overall, the staff at Centre Parcs are VERY UNHELPFUL and at times pretty rude. The staff seem almost annoyed when you are unable to speak French, the explain nothing to you at the restaurants, the pool, the golf cart checkout, the activities. The are visibly and audibly exasperated when you ask them anything that may require them to do something. The guy that took back our golf cart and the lady cleaning the apartments on check out day were particularly rude. RATS We were afraid to go onto the balcony with the amount of rats we saw and also afraid to leave any door open. Disgusting and disgraceful, I saw rats at 3 different areas so it's clearly a pervasive problem. Specifically, I saw a rat outside the pool at the stroller parking, at least 20 by the bins, each night, until the last night, perhaps it was addressed and the also a rat on the main prom. I'm fairly sure I saw a staff member checking a hole beside our front door for them too. I mean, sure, the place is semi rural, but that's a lot of RATS... when I saw none in Longford and usually do not see very many rats in general in my life. Seeing 20 up the road from your apartment really spoils things. DIRTY The cleanliness of the accommodation was remarkably poor! The baby chair was still covered in food, the fans and extractors covered in dust and so many surfaces to touch were either sticky, grubby or dusty. The beds were very uncomfortable, the furniture was worse, the place was so hot, even on the cool days and to think this was an option above standard is incredible to me. The entire place seems weathered, grotty and run down and we were very disappointed when we arrived. The umbrella stand was broken, we asked for a replacement, the divider between accommodations was broken, quite a few spiders around, door was damaged around the deadbolt. We asked for beds to be made up for a double and a bed guard for our toddler, this was not done. Honestly, the place didn't even seem to be dusted... I met a "cleaner" on the final day when checking out, I'm not surprised with the state the place is an after "speaking" with here. OVERALL Overall, it was a very poor experience and not only would I NOT recommend it, I will likely actively tell people about the poor experience and I'll be reaching out to Disney directly as this standard for a partner is a disgrace. We are agreeable people, but the accommodation was a joke. The positives, and there are some: - The pool is really cool - The bakery is fabulous - Golf cart was a bit of fun to get around - Can't beat the shuttle to Disney - I enjoyed the overall setting I'm sorry I didn't take many photos, I didn't tell my wife about the rats until we got home.

Positives: Kids Workshop: Make your own soft toy: 5 stars - Lady was really happy and friendly, interacted with the children, would recommend. Archery: Well organised and good fun. Ouistiti Trail: instructor was good and interacting with the kids getting them to take part. Pony Ride: Good, would recommend. Warning there is a height limit we were not aware of, we just made it in but others were turned away, Mini farm – note closed over lunch. Pool is awsome. Negatives: Villa Accommodation: Advertising it as VIP is misleading. The finish was not of high quality. The downstairs bath did not work, no wooden utensils / oven / scissors. Multiple light fixtures didn't work or were completely missing the bulbs. The patio door lock was broken. There was mould on the ceiling of one of the bedrooms. The decorative sculpture was broken. The sink plug in the bathroom was stuck down. The smoke alarm flat battery was beeping - I reported this but nothing was done so I had to stand on a stool to remove it from the ceiling. There was graffiti carved into the external walls. The coffee machine water tank was black, and even after cleaning milk came out with black bits in it so it was unusable. Fire package that I prebooked was not in the cottage. Wifi only worked intermittently. Kids safari – Be aware you need 1 adult per car – it does not state this anywhere in the app when you book. I want by myself with 2 kids and they would not let me have a car – not even one, just kept sending me from the fun hut to the cars who sent me back to the fun hut in an endless cycle. Bungee Trampoline – the lady operating this did not appear to have been trained how to use it. We turned up at 10:05 for our 10:15 booking and the people from the 10:00 booking were still waiting because the equipment had not been setup yet. She was also asking everyone for their children’s weight, which nobody knew and they didn’t have any scales. We eventually got on about 30 mins late after another staff member arrived and took over – he did not ask anyone for their weight! We were then only given 7 minutes instead of the advertised 15. Poor value for money. High Adventure: A lot of people were struggling with the zip lines and kept getting stuck, holding up the people behind them. The instructors were nowhere to be found - at 1 point 3 kids were left on an island in the middle of the lake stuck and no staff could be found to help them. This activity was supposed to take 30 minutes but took over 2 hours due to the lack of help from the staff. Workshop: Disappointing. This was 4 small cupcakes with some readymade icing to apply. Once the equipment was given there was no guidance or interaction from the staff member. There were example photos given which were impossible to achieve with the materials given. This was supposed to last an hour but everyone was done and cleaned up within 20 minutes. Poor value for money. Arcade: Avoid, not worth the hassle - I had multiple is

Parc looks good, nice people at entrance. The Dome (centre) seems to get good attention on maintenance. Had fun at new Paddel courts. Great investment. So far the good part. Booked a VIP cottage. (969). Absolute no value for money. Cupboard kitchen falling apart. Dishes, pots & pans seem not to have been renewed in 10 years? Bathrooms mold, some attention on sealant edges would be a big difference. Really no attention in years? You call that VIP cottages? Cocoon ‘alla carte’. I understand we have a dinner during off season. But I think the worst I have had in a long time. Carpaccio… as a main? €19 ? Sirloin Steak with fries. No salad, no vegetables … €20? And was just bad… Didn’t dare to take a dessert 🫣 I am a guest. Know the employees are not to blame… Luckily we were there for a few trips to Versailles/ Paris. Made our week.

I'm here at the moment, we arrived with food from the supermarket and the fridge was broken. We were assured someone would come and fix it, twice. It's now nearly 11pm and still broken with a fridge full of food that's going to go off. No one is answering the phone or responding to messages. Unacceptable.

Our entire premium cabin smelt like a public toilet. We repeatedly asked for it to be cleaned, but no cleaner ever turned up. There were hair balls, insects, lots of black mould and cobweb everywhere, crumbs on the floor and grime all over the toilet tiles. Although the restaurant staff were very nice, the cutlery and plates in the restaurants were filthy and the food was cold, with very limited choice. Most of the promised summer entertainment wasn't available. The light switches hung off the walls and most didn't work. There were barely any charging points. There were plasters floating in the Aqua Mundo. The entire cabin grimy and overall unpleasant. If you lack personal hygiene and don't mind the grime and terrible smell, you will feel at home. Please note that there are no refunds ot cancellations of activities booked if you change your mind. Due to the filthy state of our cabin and the fact that we needed to wear face masks to use the loo, we were unable to enjoy our holiday and couldn’t wait to go home.

The premise of Centreparcs is good. Largely car free. It’s good to be able to cycle everywhere. Lots of activities for children of all ages and teenagers can have some freedom and independence as the park feels safe. Older kids loved swimming every day. But the accommodation is very basic and not great. We stayed in 516 (4 bedrooms) and it was not particularly clean and the bathrooms (a shower room and a bathroom) had a bad black mould problem (due to poor ventilation and substandard cleaning). I complained on day 4 as cleaning black mould in the bathrooms every day was not much fun. They sent a cleaner round but she couldn’t reach the ceiling. Had to clean the table and chairs outside before we could use them. There was no oven and no BBQ in our accommodation. No laundry facilities on-site either which is very unhelpful. I wouldn’t go back to this site, but if you do be sure to take plenty of cleaning products and stock up on food from an off-site supermarket.
