We stayed here for three months in 2021 while our home was undergoing major renovation, checking out in May. It was a nice apartment in a great location. It’s fascinating watching the comings and goings at Ealing Studios. But I’m afraid this place was let down for us by poor management who made for a poor experience. When we moved in, the extractor fan in the single bathroom (no windows) wasn’t working. We asked for help from the management team five times, with promises that a plumber and electrician would visit. Nothing happened - it didn’t work when we left twelve weeks later. The bike storage room was broken into, six weeks into our stay. My bike front wheel was stolen. Other bikes were taken too. The view of the Police was that the code for the room is clearly well-known to lots of non-residents, as the door was opened and left open, it was not forced. There are some thieves in Ealing who know the code for the storage room. The manager promised to change the code - he didn’t, and the code was exactly the same six weeks later on leaving day. The apartment is advertised as being ready for Sky TV, but Sky Q will not work. The building managers assured us it would before we moved in, but then admitted they were wrong. Don’t think about doing a Sky home move if you subscribe to Sky Q. Some sites advertise Walpole Court as “no pets”. There were two friendly dogs in our block. Personally, I didn’t mind them, even though both had great fund barking from behind their doors - but bear in mind that the reality doesn’t match what’s advertised. At the end of our stay, we were reassured that all was fine with the property in a five minute check-out. Yet we had to harass the landlords for return of our security deposit. It took more than fifteen phone calls and e-mails to get a response. Overall, not a good experience - a good little bolt-hole apartment let down by poor and inattentive management.
