Hotel Bergsonne Rigi

Considering the price for a standard room for 2 nights CHF 451, we could really expect a different service. Overall, we experienced a certain disorganization within this hotel: no one answered a phone call, the restaurants recommended for dinner in the evening were closed, the cleaning of the room after the first night had supposedly been forgotten, no one present at 9:00 in the morning for breakfast with tables not set, no bread/croissants, no cheese, no meat, no yogurt, almost nothing… Suddenly a person appeared with a laptop in hand. more concerned about it than its customers,… Room without television, basic shower, sink in the room,… In short, an offer that is much too expensive… Positive point to finish: a splendid panorama.

The hotel is no longer very young and is currently being renovated so the interior and the room lack finishes but this hotel has probably the best view of Rigi Kaltbad given its position (about 7-8 minutes uphill from the therefore avoid heavy suitcases without wheels). The room we occupied (n°25) was spacious and bright. The style was also "under renovation" (bed, floor, wall are new, but the doors, ceiling and furniture are still in their juice) so the contrast was odd but not at all awkward. The reception is undoubtedly the + of this hotel, Pascal is always smiling, always a nice little word and is not stingy with good advice on the baths or the restaurants. Access to the main entrance located at the back of the building is not very obvious and is not lit at night. Be careful however when making your reservation, because Rigi Kaltbad is only accessible by cogwheel train or gondola (50% discount on the price of the journey if you show the reservation at the cash desk) In summary, a great experience and a magnificent view despite the hotel "under construction"

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à l’Hotel Rigi Bergsonne. Une vue à couper le souffle dans un établissement récemment rénové. Propreté irréprochable. Pascal est un hôte charmant, très disponible et serviable. Petit-déjeuner complet (pain, tresse, charcuterie, œufs à la coque, fromage…). Nous recommandons vivement ce lieu magique au Rigi!

Von der Bahnstation Rigi-Kaltbad geht’s fünf Minuten bergauf. Unser Gepäck wurde vom sympathischen und äusserst hilfsbereiten Gastgeber abgeholt. Von aussen sieht das Haus etwas ältlich aus, aber drinnen ist es hübsch renoviert. Unser Zimmer war heimelig und gemütlich mit viel Holz und hochwertigen Materialien. Gut isolierte Fenster, Angenehme Heizung. Bequemes Bett. Eine grosse private Terrasse mit einer phänomenalen Sicht hinunter auf den Vierwaldstättersee und das eindrückliche Bergpanorama. Am Morgen hatten wir die ersten Sonnenstrahlen und am Abend die letzten in dieser Gegend. Das Restaurant ist nur für Hotelgäste gegen Anmeldung am Abend geöffnet, Getränke sind unkompliziert ganztägig in Selbstbedienung verfügbar. Wir schätzten das vorzügliche liebevoll arrangierte Menü am Valentinstag. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und tadellos. Wir genossen unseren Aufenthalt sehr. Ruhe und Erholung pur. Vielen Dank an das ganze Team für die vorbildliche Gastfreundschaft.

Das Hotel ist sehr empfehlenswert. Klein & fein, mit viel Charme und gutem Spirit. Die Renovationsarbeiten sind noch nicht ganz abgeschlossen, was unseren Aufenthalt aber in keinster Weise beeinträchtigte. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und fühlten uns wie zu Hause. Pascal (der Manager) weiss was es heisst, Gäste zu bewirten und war bei allen Anliegen sehr hilfsbereit. Es ist alles noch etwas im Aufbau, da das Hotel neu übernommen wurde. Wir sind sehr gespannt, wie sich das Hotel entwickelt und ob sie alle ihre Ideen umsetzen können und wünschen ihnen auf diesem Weg alles Gute und gutes Gelingen. Bei unserem nächsten Besuch auf der Rigi werden wir bestimmt wieder in der Bergsonne übernachten.
