My husband and I spent a few days at Carmelo Mountain Lodge as part of our honeymoon and it was by far the best part of our trip. We were treated so incredibly well and the accommodations were spectacular. We even had thunderstorms for one of the days were were there, and still enjoyed ourselves by reading on the balcony while watching the storms pass. The food is incredible and you get to choose what you want for dinner from a good sized menu each day. Waking up to those views is an experience we'll never forget!

We stayed for only 2 nights but wished it had been longer. The Gate opens and you can immediately tell how much care is taken to maintain this beautiful property. Greeted by Ricardo who made our stay so personal and lovely. When stepping into your room your are immediately struck by the views which could be taken in 24 hours a day. Greeted with Sparkling wine and a Charcuterie board with all sorts of other goodies stocked in the room. Breakfast and dinner were delicious and served on your balcony. We had 2 of the 4 rooms and happened to have the lodge to ourselves. Beds were so comfortable and the pool area had views that matched your room. Ricardo, thank you for taking such good care of us and introducing me to Mate!! I am trying to perfect the craft here in the states!

This lodge is just perfect, an absolute superb stay in every aspect, nothing could really have been better. Large room, perfect service, incredible view, great food and hosts were fantastic. Just cannot fault anything.

So many positives to share... I loved this place! The views are breathtaking... great to see snow capped mountains while lounging in the pool. Was greeted very warmly by Ricardo... Manager of El Carmelo Mountain Lodge. My spanish is "un poco" - his English is excellent. The entire staff made you feel as though you are part of the family. Breakfast served in the morning was hot and delicious. Dinners were tasty... and you can choose when you want it. Top it all: Resort has only 4 rooms... so very quaint and intimate for those who want to just relax and "get away from it all"... Enjoy a dip in the pool or lay on one of the 4 outdoor cabanas. Before your stay - Carolina will stay in touch with you via WhatsApp and give you all the proper instructions. Her English is also "excellente!!" Call them ahead of time and they will arrange for transportation from/to Mendoza and the wineries. You have no worries at all!! The resort is within a short 30 minute drive to many of the wonderful wineries which you can go and visit and enjoy wine tastings and delicious meals. You will not regret coming to visit El Carmelo Mountain Lodge!!

100/10 would recommend this place. Only 4 suites. The view from the rooms is unbelievable. Food is great, the area is peaceful, the owners are friendly, cool and fun to talk to. We stayed here at the end of our trip and it was the perfect place to relax and soak up the beauty of the Andes. Absolutely incredible stay, would go back in a heartbeat.

El Carmelo provided us the luxurious restorative experience we were seeking in a "once in a lifetime" setting. After spending a few days in the wine region and exploring the beauty and wonder of nearby Aconcauga, we needed to take a break from the busy-ness of our vacation and take some time to unwind. From the moment the front gate opened to reveal the beautiful garden, and every breathtaking view thereafter, we indulged in a stay we will never forget. There is power in the mountains, always changing their appearance at different times of the day (we even forced ourselves to awake early to take in the peaceful sunrise). We were surprised by the hosts with the most incredible tango show we have ever seen with soulful live music set against the backdrop of a picture perfect sunset (still gives us goosebumps!). We then shared wonderful asado with the other guests - a special highlight of our time in Mendoza. We slept wonderfully in the oversized soft bed, and enjoyed our meals on the private terrace. Staff were discreet and ever kind, attentive to every need, and made us feel quite special and appreciated. We have already recommended the lodge to friends who will be in the region soon, and we hope to come back one day. A true 10/10 in every way.

If you are looking for a staying where you can relax, finding peace, silence, privacy and discretion in a so beautiful mountain environment, I fully recommend El Carmelo. We scheduled our stay in El Carmelo Mountain Lodge at the end of our two-week trip and it was indeed a crowning experience. The property is simply breathtaking and the staff are super kind and attentive. Our room was very modern and well-equipped, with a view that is hard to beat; in fact, it was so wonderful that we decided to wake up for sunrise (and I am not a morning person, especially on vacation!). The pool was spectacular, and the dinner on the terrace was unforgettable. You will not regret having spent money on this experience with someone special.
