Arrived at 3pm (booked as a package so had no control over this) no staff around and made to wait till 4pm to get a key to our room. Not ideal after starting the day at 5am. Room very basic, bathroom very small and ventilation broken so the smell of damp foist in there was vile, shower was horrific, either sprayed water all over the bathroom or was like a jet wash, no in between. Bedroom cleaned once throughout our stay. Heating in the room was not adjustable and was absolutely blasting throughout our stay so room was unbearably hot at times. Some days there was absolutely nothing on the breakfast buffet, honestly as if the chef had a day off and they just gave you what was in the cupboard. The ski in/out element is a bit missold, you’re actually skiing into the sister hotel (sun valley) and have to make your way through 5 doors (whilst carrying your skis) and through the underground car park to get to the hotel ski lockers, which are extremely tired. There is also only one button lift that allows you to ski in/out which makes it a bit more to coordinate after a long day skiing. The hotel bar, that has a pool table and other games for the kids, is only open in the evenings and was randomly closed for 2 nights of our stay, meaning we either had to go out in the resort, or sit in our stinking foisty room (didn’t fancy either after a long day skiing really). It’s safe to say we won’t be back.

We were deeply upset to receive a call from Hotel Le Vancouver with less than 24 hours notice before our flight to France that the hotel had a fire and our reservation was cancelled. The hotel offered no alternative accommodation and we were unable to find any in La Plange or neighbouring valleys. As a result, we had to cancel our holiday and New Years Eve plans, incurring non-refundable cost of flights, ski hire and transfers. Whilst the fire was obviously out of the hotel's control, the communication since then has been abysmal. We were repeatedly told the hotel was looking into reimbursing us and for months have been blocked from speaking to any kind of person of seniority to discuss insurance proceeds. Seriously disappointing. Expected better.

Honestly we were a bit concerned reading some of the reviews before our trip but our stay was fine! Reception staff friendly, check in and out process easy. The room was clean and tidied daily, breakfast was good. Nice balcony views. Sauna not working during our stay but other spa facilities were fine. No boot dryers in the ski lockers which would be a good thing to improve on.

It's really ok and very nicely located so you can ski in and out, but there are loads of things that could be improved to really make this a fantastic place. The bathroom with a wobbly faucet and incorrectly placed shower screen, no housekeeping during the stay, a lack of large towels, unclarity about returning with skis and boots from the slopes, the uninviting bar, etc. We had a comfortable stay, just not fantastic, and for the price charged we expected a bit better.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed here and there have been some changes, not for the better. The room is a good size and comfortable, however it is hit and miss it you get it cleaned, I am not too full fussed but not to even have the bin emptied and the shower gel topped up is pretty poor. There was no heating on in the room or the majority of the hotel, we were told it was broken and given a portable heater. We found the same in the rooms 3 years ago and were also given a portable heater. Certain areas in the room were very tired (bathroom especially) and need some general maintenance. The food is another change, I can only describe now as school dinners, pretty bland and lacking vegetables, one night the started was not cooked, which was obvious and should have never left the kitchen. There is no alternative for the starter unless you pay extra, we found this pretty strange for half board. We had a menu that had the incorrect prices, we asked about this and was told it was an old menu, the same menu was given to us again 2 nights later. The staff are overworked in the restaurant as there just aren’t enough of them, and it wasn’t that busy. The restaurant was so cold that people were eating in coats, even the staff wear body warmers and hats, the heating was put on for the last couple of nights. The ski lockers need an overhaul. They are wet/damp inside and in very poor condition, there was no way that we wanted to leave our boots in there, only 1 small bench to put your boot on, this has not changed since our last stay 3 years ago. The biggest disappoin**ent was the spa as we choose a hotel to use a pool after a days skiing. The pool is dirty, the water cloudy, it is not heated, all week it was freezing cold. The hot tub is also cold with the bubbles giving out cold water and the jets don’t work. The steam room was not working and after the 2nd day into our holiday the sauna stopped working. The showers in the changing rooms are a disgrace, 2 out of the 3 shower drinks were blocked, there are broken floor tiles all over the changing area and it is generally dirty. I felt very sorry for the staff who seem to be having to give excuse all the time, they appeared to be worked very hard. The hotel needs to spend some money to update and overhaul certain areas, the spa especially to make hygienic. Unless there are some good updates we will not be staying here again and would not recommend it to anyone. My only recommendation would be to avoid, it could be a great hotel as the location is very good with ski in and out from the back of the hotel.

The hotel would have got 5stars if the swimming pool was warmer and the sauna and steam rooms were working.

visited the hotel February 2023 with crystal ski. was hesitant after reading the negative reviews but thought the location and price were good. Would highly recommend this hotel if you are visiting la Plagne. The location is a bit tricky to get to the centre, via telebus and bus, but the location next to the piste is lovely. unfortunately on my trip I was injured and the hotel could have not been more accomodating, moving us to an accessible room no questions asked. All the staff were super friendly and the food is fantastic. The range of breakfast food is superb and you should not expect a full English breakfast when in France ! the croissants, bread, fruit, cheese, ham etc selection was superb and delicious. I was stuck in the room and they even helped my boyfriend with containers to bring me up breakfast. I would recommend going earlier to breakfast as there is more choice as you would imagine. The 3 course dinner is delicious and the half board options were really good, we had no concerns with this. sometimes service was a bit slow depending on how busy it was but we had no issue with this the waiters tried their best to serve everyone as quickly as possible. the rooms were super clean and tidy and comfortable for the price, the balconys had lovely views. it is difficult to get across to the correct piste after a long day skiing to get to the ski in ski out but this isn't that big of an issue. although our trip was hindered by an ACL injury, the staff at the hotel were super friendly and I would highly recommend this to anyone thinking of a visit, I Was surprised by this and hope to be back soon. a big thank you to the staff as well who helped us get to the train station when there were no taxis, was super grateful for all their assistance.

We came for a weekend to do some skiing and we had a lovely surprise. The room was very big and cosy. The balcony had a view on the ski resort of La Plagne and the surrounding mountains. The staff welcomed us with great kindness. There is also a spa and we appreciated it, even if there was a lot of people, as it is shared by another residence nearby.

There are good things about this hotel, it is right on the piste, the rooms are a good size and warm and the staff are friendly. However the bad outweighs the good. Very poor cleaning of public area - same dirt in lift, in pool area and by boot room for several days. Only one very small bench by boot room. Jacuzzi out of operation for part of stay and steam room for all of it, so working areas of spa became crowded. The dining room was the worst part of holiday though. Breakfast just about ok, though limited meat/cheese selection and some days cheese only. Dinner was awful. Half board turned out to be plat de jour. you could interchange pixxa or pasta for the main course but this added a huge amount of time to an already slow service which was made worse by fact restaurant was not busy. Arrived 7.15 one night and got main course at 9pm. A very disappointing hotel. I will go back to La Plagne as skiing was excellent, but not to the Vancouver
