Valamar Meteor Hotel

The Valamar Meteor hotel was in a great location right by the beach and near the old town. The view was nice and the room was clean. Breakfast is also great !! The sunset is beautiful !!

Excellent place to stay in Makarska . Central to everything beach^s resturants and old town firstclass in everyway highly recommend Valamar spotless rooms wonderful helpful staff. Best breakfast so much variety Unforgettable ❤️

Stayed for a week, saw loads of negative comments. I would say a lot of them are complete rubbish. Great , clean superb hotel , don’t be put off. Staff fantastic, everything you need and more, different nationalities who get on great. I’ve travelled quite a bit in my time and can’t knock this place at all. Give it ago, you won’t be disappointed.

Stayed here for just one night in April, as the hotel has great reviews and I wanted to visit Makarska with a view to a future family holiday here. (We came from a beautiful and stunning hotel 1hr up the coast). This is a great hotel for kids, with mini carts and trikes in the lobby, so little kids having a wake of a time zipping around the hotel lobby in them. Games room, soft play, table football and poll tables dotted around the hotel. It has a large indoor pool with loungers (outdoor pool was understandably too cold in April) Great mini splash pools and slide for kids. It's right on the beach and the view from the pool is absolutely stunning. The restaurant is large with lots of pillars and nooks therefore thankfully it didn't have that canteen feel you can get with large hotel restaurants. The choice and quality of food was something else, I counted 16 mini food stations! Everything you can think of and excellent quality and presentation. Dinner had soft non carbonated drinks available which was a real bonus and potential cost saver. Breakfast there seemed to be a large queue at the few coffee machines, however there were other stations with filter coffee available around the restaurant. The spa gave you beach towels and they were really flexible on check out letting us keep our towels and using the hotel facilities for the day. The hotel itself doesn't look particularly attractive from the outside but that's because of its height compared to the rest of Makarska and the bonus here is the majority of rooms will have a sea view. The room was fine but a little dated compared to the other hotel we'd come from. I would have found it cramped for a family of 3 for a week or more but for a few nights it was fine. overall I can't fault the hotel, food, facilities, design, location, it just wasn't as luxurious as the other hotel we were used to. At dinner at 8.15 we came down and had to search a while for a clean laid table amongst various tables with dirty plates etc, and the restaurant felt really busy considering it was only April. I do wonder how chaotic/busy the restaurant would be in peak season, and don't think I would find it enjoyable. Overall it's a really great hotel in a great location, I think just personally I've realised I prefer smaller less busy hotels.

Located directly at the beautiful beach, this hotel offer everything you need for a perfect vacation! From comfortable and perfectly clean rooms to great choice of food. Perfect service led by restaurant manager Ivan makes everything even better! Front desk team is super friendly and at your service all the time! Special thanks to Maro World team ( Dora & Elena) for making our girl's vacation memorable! We have to mention great Pentola restaurant and their amazing service lead by Renata! Perfect place for lunch in the sun or a cozy dinner in the evenening! We are looking forward to our next stay!

Our family summer holiday in July 2023 at Valamar Meteor was a great experience (we parents & baby + grand parents). We stayed at the connecting rooms 2756 and 2755. The beds were comfortable, the baby cot beautifully prepared in advance, although the rooms were compact, we found our comfort after having removed all necessary baggage stocking it in our car. We enjoyed our time at the different pools (infinity pool, indoor pool) and the watergym with the ever joyful and inspiring Iris, we also took a swim at the beach in front of the hotel (walking distance) with friendly security guard preventing non-hotel guests to enter. More importantly, we loved the newly inaugurated kids/baby pool (temperature controlled) offering shallow play zones with little water slides and fountains, the few pool toys that can be found at your disposal were very appreciated by all kids. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the Kids Club Maro with the team Zvone, Paula, Elmira, Eva, Doroteja, Matea, Elena, Vanja, Laura, Natalie, Tereza, Klara, Milan & Ante. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our 22-month-old son felt welcome, safe, and entertained. They provided a variety of engaging activities catered to his interest and age. They have plenty of pedagogical toys, games, books, little kitchens, houses, cars... Every evening there is a fantastic kids disco that invites each and every child to dance following the visit of a mascot called Maro, the kids loved her. The theater with a clown was also a funny event. The evening program is perfect and you will see many happy and engaged kids. We were particularly grateful for the complimentary 2-hour babysitting sessions (every day!) which allowed us some much-needed relaxation time. It was reassuring to know that our little one was in the safe and capable hands of the Kids Club’s team while we enjoyed some downtime. They also have a refreshment corner with water and ice cream if you allow it to your kid. Their professional and truly heartfelt caring approach truly sets them apart. We loved them and our son too. Outside in the front service area, there are lots of high quality and robust bicycles and trycycles at the disposal of the kids. You will notice that every kid is happily cycling around and exploring the vast lobby, just be careful not to bump into one of the little drivers or vice versa. There are free diapers in every toilet - an excellent amenity. The dining experience at the restaurant Mediterraneo Valamar Meteor was nothing short of amazing, be it for the breakfast or dinner. The restaurant offered a (very) wide variety of delicious meals, for carnivores, vegetarians and even vegans. Each dish was prepared with care and presented beautifully. The quality and diversity of the food were impressive, making each meal a culinary delight. The hotel and offer in general is great! We were on holiday with 2 year old daugther and she had wanderfull time! Pools fir children are great! All the stuff in playroom are fantastic! Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful time at Valamar in Makarska, the hotel was excellent. Having traveled all over the world staying at many famous hotels, I can say without a doubt that Valamar Hotel offers the world's BEST buffet breakfast, with so many choices, It was amazing! The Staff were wonderful and attentive, always smiling and welcoming. We spent one day at the wonderful pool that overlooks the beach and boardwalk and a fabulous water aerobics instructor was running a class for guests, which was just fantastic and so much fun! My only small wish was for them to work out a better solution with the king-size bed, our bed kept on coming apart. The location is perfect, and we really enjoyed our stay. I can't wait to return to Valamar Makarska!
