A great location close to Manchester Victoria station loads of bars and clubs and niche shopping. Was here for a music gig the other side of the city but Uber there and back was very easy. The hotel staff were all incredibly friendly and fun and the morning breakfast was extensive and a good selection of most things. It’s a clean and surprisingly quiet hotel as it’s right on a very busy main road. It’s a budget hotel so not too many frills no fridge or iron but everything worked really well good bed and good shower and for me that’s the main selling factor of a hotel room.

The hotel was clean, tidy, with simple amenities. The only criticisms are that due to the location of the hotel it is noisy as it is located right next to a main road. Also, the rooms can get very warm as there is no air conditioning.

I’ve booked a room with a bathtub, and the staff designated a room without it. I can accept they could make a mistake, but the staff didn’t apologize for his mistake when I asked for a room change.

Just ok, hotel with good connection but, I did not like that the internet is a separate service

The hotel environment is good, but the location is farther away, about 10 minutes walk from the nearest light rail station

Travelling from Hampshire to Scotland we used Ancoats Travel lodge as a stopover. We were welcomed by Jemima, who was friendly and courteous. Our room was good, the bed comfortable and facilities were sufficient for a two night stay. We had a meal on our first evening but due to exceptional circumstances (Coop Arena closure), the meals were less than ideal. Not only did we receive a refund but a new meal was provided, the service was excellent. Our breakfasts were great value for money, with a wide variety of choices. We would like to name Andrew and Matt for their friendly and efficient service who made our brief stay enjoyable.

The room was far too hot as the window only opened slightly as had a security latch on it. Therefore very little ventilation which prevented us from sleeping all night as far too hot

We needed a last minute stay in Manchester and this was an affordable 'ish' hotel. It was still fairly pricey at £240 for two nights. Pros : very good location and well situated for the Northern Quarter, friendly staff and reasonably safe area. Top floor rooms have better sounds insulation. Cons : one towel provided for two people (you can ask for more but it just seemed an odd oversight), room not clean on arrival (someone else's chips on the floor), small stains on sheets. We didn't complain as we just wanted to get out and about. Probably good for a cheapish mid week stay but for a weekend stay, I would recommend other budget chains.

Brilliant hotel right in the heat of the city close to everything. Staff were great very friendly. Room were clean and if you wanted would be cleaned every day. Definitely recommend. Only issue is parking now they have a few that they recommend the safest is the one across from the hotel it is 10 pound for 24 hours but it does add up after a few days and fills up quickly each day and very tight to get around depending on your car.

Hideous noise from outside. They do not provide earplugs. If you're sharing a room with someone else make sure there's a towel each before you start washing.

I had an excellent stay in Travelodge Manchester. My morning couldn't have started better with Matt letting me know where everything is for the breakfast and looking after me on my first Travelodge stay. I will definitely be coming back if I ever want to stay in MCR again.
