Reitenberger Spa Medical

Very good location of the hotel, on Sunday at 7:00 Metallica comes in the singing fountains, what better opportunity to wake up?! For us it was brilliant!!! Wellness area simply great!!! Breakfast top!!! Parking garage only 200 m away and to be paid for from the hotel!!! So it's always worth a trip!!!

For May 2022 we had booked a spa package with 5 treatments in the 4-star Hotel Reitenberger with an additional “premium spa package” for 5 treatments in Marienbad / Czech Republic with RSD Reisen and went on our spa vacation full of anticipation. The disillusionment came on the first day: the doctor's examination for two people didn't even take 5 minutes!! The treatment plan then included 10 "applications" that could hardly be described as such, and which had a total value of €190, according to the hotel's price list. The additional premium package we booked at RSD cost us €250 per person. There was nothing to complain about in the room in the hotel, but that was the only good thing about the Hotel Reitenberger (supposedly 4 **** stars). According to the description, there was a cafe that was supposed to be open in the afternoon until 10 p.m. in the evening, but in reality this was only the case on 2 days. The seating in the dining restaurant was assigned by a "screaming, bad-tempered" head waiter, the used dishes were only cleared away after multiple complaints and the food was that of a medium-sized village pub. All in all not worthy of a 4**** star hotel. RSD charged a seasonal surcharge of €190, but there was no season in Marienbad, the gondola didn't run again until June 2nd, 2022 and there were no other activities in the spa town, apart from the Singing Fountain every hour. All in all, our conclusion: NOT RECOMMENDED, especially over RSD, since you can certainly speak of “NEPP”.

Die Lage des Hotels ist ideal, direkt bei den Kolonnaden und dem Kurpark und die Fassade entspricht dem wunderschönen Bild Marienbads. Betritt man das Hotel, umgibt den Gast jedoch den Hauch der 1970iger Jahre, die Atmosphäre der sozialistisch geprägten Jahre. Besonders miefig der Speisesaal - Billigtischdecken, Papierservietten und wirklich keinem guten Essensangebot - geschmacklich minderwertig, das Auge isst mit, aber auch hier fehlt es absolut. Wir haben an drei von sieben Abenden das Abendessen im Hotel zu uns genommen und dann beschlossen, das wir uns das nicht länger antun und sind in guten Restaurants in Marienbad zum Abendessen ausgegangen. In jedem Café der Stadt kann man guten Kuchen genießen, nicht so im Hotel Reitenberger!!! Das Hotel nennt sich medical Spa Hotel. Damit würde ich erwarten, dass in den diversen Behandlungskabinen (z.B. Gasbad, Aromabad, etc.) gibt es keine Notfalltastaturen. Das gilt auch für die Gästezimmer. Das Personal im medizinischen (auch die Ärzte) wie auch Spa Bereich spricht entweder absolut kein deutsch oder englisch oder nur sehr schlecht. Ein großer Anteil der Gäste im Hotel kommt aus Deutschland. Alles in allem, kann ich nicht verstehen, wie das Hotel zu seinen 4 Sternen kommt und würde es nicht für einen weiteren Besuch in die Auswahl nehmen.
