It's hard to find the words to describe our trip. Amazing, incredible, and breathtaking just don't do it justice. Every day we had new adventures, whether hiking, swimming at the base of waterfalls, soaking in hot springs, whale watching, snorkeling, visiting a permaculture farm, or just exploring the water and shore around the hotel, it was a beautiful and enjoyable experience. I felt like we were leaving old friends by the time we had to come home. Tom and Sherry worked hard to make sure everyone had a good time. Breakfast was served at one big table in the morning, and everyone's dietary preferences were accommodated. Here we were told what we would be doing and what gear was needed for the day. We usually spent most of the day out, then came back after dinner at a fabulous (though not fancy) restaurant. We kept our windows open, and the sound of the waves and the breeze off the ocean lulled us into a deep sleep each night. One night before bed, we even walked up to the rooftop deck and spent some time stargazing, with minimal light pollution. Wanderlust is the perfect place for active days and comfortable nights. While this was the trip of a lifetime for me, I would recommend that you don't come here if you're looking to lie on the beach all day or want to shop. We were active and physically challenged many of the days in rugged and relatively undeveloped areas. Personally, this is the best vacation I've been on, and I hope to be back soon!
