Palais El Miria & Spa

We had the most amazing time here at El Miria over Christmas. The location was great and the hotel is beautiful. The restaurant food was delicious and traditional and the staff were so kind and helpful. We will definitely return and would highly recommend!

This accommodation is excellent. We stayed in a deluxe room and it was right off the terrace. Lovely outdoor garden areas. The hotel has a lovely smell and nice music. Food was good. The staff were all pleasant and helpful. They helped organize a taxi to take us to and from the city center. Would highly recommend staying here. Thanks from Canada!

Amazing place to stay, so peaceful and in particular smells amazing. The family that owns the place are so lovely helpful and accommodating. Just what I needed after a long motorcycle ride. I'll return for sure when I'm next in Marrakesh.

Lovely little Riad. Our room was basic with authentic touches. The staff were amazing in particular Aziz. He was very polite, courteous and always going out of his way to accommodate us. Hamsa is the owner and he was amazing at organising our trips and taxis and would always come around to chat to the guests which was a lovely touch.

Just had a wonderful stay, first holiday where I can say we will definitely be coming back. The staff all delivered exceptional personal service. Aziz our waiter was delightful along with Othman, Badia and hamza. We enjoyed wonderful food in a beautiful setting. The spa was gorgeous where we enjoyed Hammam massages and manicure/pedicures. Highly recommend!

From the moment we arrived at Palais El Miria we were welcomed with warmth and care. Despite our late evening arrival the Manager Othman and staff Aziz gave our party Moroccan tea refreshment and a late dinner. Our luggage was taken to our rooms whilst we relaxed after the journey. We stayed in two bedrooms. One a superior double and one a twin. Both rooms had air conditioning, Moroccan decor, clean towels and robes, shampoo and shower gel (large bottles). The rooms were extremely clean and the beds were very comfortable. We all slept well from the first night until the last. The following day the Lady owner welcomed us. Both Othman and Hamza made a point of speaking to every resident every day. They asked if they could help book any taxis and or trips at no extra cost. They offered to give tips and advice of the local area and places to visit. The Riad has 14 bedrooms which enables the staff to give you a wonderful personal holiday. Both Othman and Hazma speak very good English and communication was never an issue. Our relationship with all the staff members was exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble. We had many laughs with Aziz our young waiter and he was keen to learn new English from us all. Hamza was extra helpful to me as I wanted to arrange a surprise meal with an Arab horse show at the Selman Hotel as a surprise anniversary/birthday celebration for my family. Hamza contacted the Selman Hotel for me (without my family knowing) and helped me to arrange the surprise including transport. He gave me a contact name of Hasna for the Selman Hotel so that I could pay her directly for the evening as soon as I arrived without my family knowing. This really was superb service which went above and beyond as I had been trying in vain to contact the Selman Hotel myself for 10 months (since the holiday had been booked). I shall never forget the kindness and sensitivity he showed in order for the surprise to be arranged and a success! I asked Othman if he could arrange for my family member's favourite dessert to be made for our lunch to celebrate her birthday/wedding anniversary too. Othman did not fail us and sure enough produced Om Ali for all of us which was absolutely delicious! He also surprised my family by upgrading them for their last night into the main bedroom suite with balcony and extremely luxurious and large room with huge ensuite. Wow! In all my years travelling abroad I have never been to a hotel which served as excellent food and drink such as Palais El Miria did. I have some health issues and I normally have stomach issues - not once did I feel unwell whilst I ate their delicious and traditional cuisine. It is worth staying here for the food!! I spoke to our cleaner every day and the general cleaning staff. They were fantastic and arranged dry cleaning (at no extra charge) for my daughter's pretty white dress which unfortunately become severely stained. The gardens are kept immaculate. This small three storey Riad is a gem. Half an hours drive from Marrakech city, it sits almost alone on the plain between the city and the mountains. It's style is a mix of traditional Moroccan and modern, with an eclectic collection of traditional artifacts. Othman and Hamza who run the place are the friendliest and most helpful of people, closely followed by the rest of the staff. The service is excellent and flexible enough to cater for excursions and the food is all local style. This is a perfect place to relax in the very quiet garden and pool area or from which to embark on trips of exploration. I loved this place and recommend it highly.

This Riad is an oasis of calm and relaxation close to the busy and exiting city of Marrakesh. If you are looking for a place to relax away from the main city where you can still explore but are not fully immersed in the hustle and bustle of Marrakesh, the El Miria Palais is a great choice. The staff are very helpful warm and friendly, they are always on hand to help and offer advice on trips and places to visit. This small Riad (14 rooms) is elegant with traditional Moroccan architecture and design. The Hammam and spa are a great way to relax after a busy day in Marrakesh. It is 7km from the centre of the city and will cost about 100MAD in a taxi to get there and back. I feel that the cost is well worth it to stay in such a quiet and relaxing place and to be able to escape from the hustle of the city if you want to. I will definitely return.

I recently called Riad El Miria and Spa hotel to inquire about their location. Unfortunately, I was shocked by the lack of politeness and the unpleasant attitude of the receptionist. Despite being a 5-star hotel, the receptionist responded rudely by asking why I was calling at such a late hour. I tried to explain that 11:04 PM is not considered late for an establishment of this category and suggested that there should be a night porter available. However, the receptionist simply replied abruptly, stating that there was no night porter and even threatened to hang up the phone. This experience has been extremely disappointing and does not align with the expectations one would have for a 5-star hotel. Quality customer service and a courteous attitude are essential elements in creating a pleasant experience for guests. I find it unacceptable that the receptionist treated guests in this manner, and I am deeply disappointed with the reception I received. I sincerely hope that the hotel takes steps to address this issue and ensures that future guests do not encounter the same treatment.
