My family and I opted to usher in 2024 in at the Monkey Thorn Lodge. Everything from the room, food, service was excellent. My kids really loved the duck pond on the property too and we definitely will be back.

I love how peaceful, beautiful, clean, and wholesome the place is; the service was just 150% on top of thongs; as in they want out of their way to ensure we were catered for and the food was yummy and homey. One of the nights we ate out at a hotel buffet but it made us to long for the food at the lodge; that just explains how good the food is. I would definitely recommend to stay at this place, I was traveling with small kids and they made them as comfortable and tailored their meals as well; their rooms are so spacious. Eden and his teams are doing so well and thank you for everything once again!

We stayed at this small lodge when travelling to the Kruger. It is very well run and well maintained. The staff were professional and very polite and helpful. The accommodation was excellent and offered great facilities. Bonus was the onsite restaurant that served great food. Can highly recommend.

We stayed here for two nights as a family and really enjoyed it. The room was enormous and plenty of outside space to relax and chill. The food was great, lots of choices and a great pizza menu. The kids loved the thick milk shakes and we had cocktails by the pool. We will be back next year for a longer stay. Can highly recommend this hotel

We checked into Monkey Thorn after several days of roughing it and self catering. The staff were so welcoming friendly and helpful especially MC. The suite was luxuriously comfortable and the food a treat.

It was booked by tour operator on our way to Kruger. Pictures were nice, but reality was even better. Spacious clean chalet, great hospitality, nice compound. We took also the dinner. The beef was great - very nice beef fillet, right cooking and delicious. It was simple, but much better than we expected. It is difficult to get so good beef in Brussels.

Amazing lodge, we stayed for two nights at Monkey Thorn Guest Lodge and had a wonderful stay. The accommodation was outstanding spacious, great decor and spotless clean. Location was perfect for our day trips to kruger and Gods window. We ate both nights and the food was excellent. Finally the staff are great, friendly, attentive and know their job.

A wonderful experience, the chalets were immaculate, beautifully manicured gardens, service from start to finish top drawer, food in the restaurant good, accommodated us for an earlier breakfast, Hannes & Leonie were ever attentive, I would most definitely recommend this establishment.

We enjoyed our short stay, room was magnificent with everything we needed for our overnight stay. Staff were friendly and breakfast was excellent. Will definitely go back. Was 5 Star and wished we could have stayed a bit longer. Good value for money.
