We wanted to rest and eat something after a 2-hour drive. My wife and I have really eaten all over the world, good and not so good, but the food in the Panoramahotel Brünig Kulm almost bordered on cheek. We have rarely seen anything so loveless. Especially the rösti baked with cheese for my vegetarian wife was a real impertinence. The rösti was not well done (you could almost have rolled it up into a crêpe) and we have rarely seen such a carelessly prepared menu. I had classic schnitzel with fries and vegetables, although the schnitzel was edible, it didn't look very appetizing. We then allowed to complain about at least the rösti on request. The waitress was very friendly and forwarded the complaint, after which the manager came and asked. My wife then explained again that these rösti almost bordered on bodily harm, whereupon the manager said that this site was widely known and they had always made it that way and and and... she basically wanted to convince my wife that these rösti was good and my wife ate a fork of it exactly once. Many may now think that we are fussy, no, we are not at all, but if we feel compelled by the manager to consider this really loveless rösti EVER to be GOOD, we have already asked. Apparently they don't need it, because there are rarely regular guests who complain and the day trippers think it makes no sense anyway. We were definitely the third time in this hotel restaurant, the first, the only and also the last time. All the best...
