The location is right in the city center, on the main street. Entering the apartment requires swiping through two glass doors, which feels very secure.
The lobby is to the left upon entering, with a 24-hour front desk. I arrived after 10 PM, and the Caucasian guy at the desk was very nice. Just showed my ID, paid a $100 deposit, and everything was sorted. Luggage storage is available after checkout.
My room was on the 5th floor, an apartment-style unit among other residents. There are 4 elevators, so no waiting at all, they're super fast.
It was a two-bedroom, one-living room unit, very spacious. The carpet might have had a slight odor when I first opened the door, but it aired out quickly.
It came with a gas stove, range hood, dishwasher, cutlery, and a washer-dryer combo, which was very convenient.
The hotel is a 10-minute walk or a free tram ride to Queen Victoria Market, the State Library, and the Art Gallery. Across the street is the State High Court, and seeing barristers in their robes pulling suitcases around looked really cool.
There's a street full of cafes in the nearby block, very chill.
