Mellieha Holiday Centre

We arrived with some friends for 14 days Vacation in January. Sadly the husbond of our friends became ill and a Doctor was called from Mellieha and he was then sent to a local Hospital! He was found to be "Seriously ill" and they had to stay for some extra time in the house, after the vacation, - before being taken back to Denmark, with a sent down, Danish Doctor in the plane! So also a thank to MHC for being able to manage this! I was able to find some needed Medicine from a Pharmacy, driving round in a local taxi, which was called from the Reception, during the evening! And Thank You very much to especially "Jonas" in the Reception, for being able to find the Medicine at a local Pharmacy!! Sadly our friend has just died, so we are participate in his Funeral soon, so this just to inform "The Mellieha Holiday Centre" about his fate! Finn

A well run and well maintained facility with potential for many activities. Owned and managed by Dansk Folkeferie. Most of the guests are Danes. Not far from Mellieha town and with many interesting walks in the vicinity. Car hire also arranged if required. Good restaurant and bar. 200 or so holiday houses to choose from. About 50 cats resident at the resort.

We visited the hotel, during our company incentive and we really enjoyed it. The rooms were big, surrounded by great nature. The breakfast was very nice, and the staff in the restaurant, bar, and reception were also very polite and professional. The hotel is right behind the most famous beach of Malta and very close to getting the ferry to Gozo. The hotel offers really tranquil atmosphere.

Visited Saturday with my wife and two boys. Very welcoming staff and atmosphere. Food and drinks arrived very promptly. We all agreed that the burgers were the best we have had for a very long time. Highly recommended the hells kitchen burger. At approx £40 Inc drinks it represents very good value for money.

For the last 20 years my wife and i have been to the Holiday Centre for 3 weeks in the winter season. Last year we did not make it due to Covid 19 , but we made it this year. We think the Centre is good value for the money. Over the years the place has moved forward a little. There is always some thing that is faulty in what ever house we have lived in. the Management has changed but still there are items that need to be fixed or changed. They do repair or fix the faults. There does not appear to be a check system in operation which would be better for all Guests. So no more stars for the management.

Just back from a superb weekend at the mellieha holiday center. The place is top notch, super clean and a very relaxing.. The views are spectacular. Our bungalow was very spacious ,tidy and equipped with everything. All the staff are very nice and makes you feel welcome.. The pool area is stunning, and if you want to relax just visit the indoor pool.. We had dinner at the Hansen and it was good. Well done to all of you, keep it up!

Totally disgrace. First i called to book a table in the great dane restaurant, and the waitress told me that it doesn't open for sunday lunch and made a booking at hansen bar. Then i called again because we saw an advert that it opens for lunch and the manager answered the phone and i explained everything to him and he said that hebis booking me a table at the great dane restaurant. He assured us that we will eat there from the menu of the great dane restaurant. We went there on sunday with our friends cause we had our anniversary and wanred to spend it with our daughters and friends and the waitress told us that it is closed and it will open only for dinner. I explained to her everytho g and she told me that she found the booking that ghe MANAGER did but she doesn't know why he made the booking. We were very disappointed but we were very hungry so we decided to stay in the bar. We ordered drink without ice and i made a point because my daughter doesn't drink with ice because she can't. I told him that i ordered it without ice but i kept them for not being rude and ordered again onthe rcoke without ice. Then they we ordered 3 ribeye oc BEEF 2 medium and 1 rear and after almoat an hour they came with the food and the ribeye wasn't beef it was of veal cause it was quite white. We go eat in restaurant alot of times so we know what ribeye of beef is and we know the difference from the ribeye of beef than veal. We told the waitress and she went in with the meat and then the chef came out and he told us that it is of beef it was whitish cause of the beef was whitish it self. I have never seen a beef white in my life and even the taste wasn't beef for sure. So we ate it cause we were very hungry cause if we were not we won't eate cause it was very chewy and was over cooked. After we ate the meet and we were all ready she came with the salad cause she said they forgot it. We told her we don't want it cause we were finished but she insisted and put on the table we left ot there as it was. We payed and left very disappointed. They ruined our anniversary as we were verynlooking forward to eat at the great dane restaurant as we always heard that they cook very good but we experienced the opposite.

We went to MLH for a relaxing weekend and must say it exceeded our expectations! The ambience is so peaceful and quiet which helps you unwind. To complemnt this, the bungalows are excellently kept; thoroughly cleaned, sanitised and well equipped with anything you need for self-catering. Everything is well organised and in place, all health and safety measures followed which makes the whole family feel comfortable. A particular hats off to the housekeeping team! The pool and the surrounding areas allow for afternoons of swimming or simply strolling around enjoying the surrounding of Ghadira Bay and Mellieha. Although the kitchen of the lodging allows you to cook whatever you feel like, the quality of the restaurant's food tempts you to keep on going to dine there! We cannot complain at all, totally recommend for a lovely break from the routine!
