Hotel Sa Barrera - Adults Only

Absolutely charming hotel from the moment you walk through the entrance doors. Everything we experienced exceeded our expectations.  What you see really is what you get, a truly delightful and a peaceful oasis. Rooms, food and views are all great. Genuinely friendly and helpful staff made such a difference to our holiday experience.  Looking forward to our return in Summer '24.

We loved this hotel. For a 3 star, they provided slippers and bathrobes which was a great extra. We had the sea view room and well worth it. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. They also included tea and coffee facilities and a mini fridge. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The pool area is really relaxing to be in and pretty with fantastic views of the sea and bay below. I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely return.

We have just returned from a week staying this lovely family run hotel. It suited us perfectly. If you are looking for corporate shininess this isn’t the place for you but if you are looking for friendly helpful staff who always have a smile and friendly welcome then you’re in the right place. It was spotlessly clean and the breakfast offered a wide range of fresh home made goodies including fresh fruit and freshly squeezed orange juice to die for! The pool was the perfect place to chill after exploring the island with never any problems getting a sun bed. Dinner in the evening was also very good . All in all this hotel is definitely worth more than the 5 stars I can give it!

Lovely little hotel. Rooms small but clean and comfy bed. Pool area lovely however could do with some soft music playing during the day outside as it’s super quiet. Breakfast was average not much selection. Restaurant was lovely, great pizzas and great wine and the most amazing views.

Excellent hotel, amazing views from restaurant terrace and room balcony, staff all friendly, welcoming, helpful and professional, rooms and beds were comfortable, pool area was really nice, breakfast surprisingly varied for such a small and intimate hotel, super close to the beach (big climb back up though!) and to all the bars and restaurants in town. Thoroughly recommend.

This adults only hotel is located in a quieter corner of Calan Porter overlooking the bay. Friendly staff. Lovely clean and modern rooms. Great shower and some rooms have very good views of the bay. The breakfast was very good with lots of choices including eggs and bacon as well as fresh fruit, pastries and cereals. Breakfast on the terrace is a must. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Nice pool and sun beds. Short walk down the steps to the bay but coming back up them is hard! We will definitely come back here again although in the height of summer you can expect this medium size hotel to be much busier. It could easily be a four star with just very few changes.

Wow what a gem of a hotel. Clean friendly and a truly amazing breakfast. Booked a little relaxing trip and exactly what we got. Lovely clean pool with sun loungers always available - with a fantastic view of the bay. No mad rush to get up for breakfast as served until 10.30 on the pool terrace. Great selection. Restaurant in hotel was very good. Would we return? 100% xx

We booked this hotel, although only rated as 3 star, due to the excellent ratings on Trip advisor. I felt it was expensive being a 3 star, as we had already booked a 4 star plus in Ciutadella and paid the same rate, but gave it the benefit of doubts about the cost. What a let down. The “sea view”room was so small you had to operate one at a time around the room. The balcony was minuscule, the width of one chair and the “sea view” was a triangle of sea in the distance. Bathroom could only accommodate one person at a time. Bed was most uncomfortable and pillows were so hard we had real difficulty sleeping on them . What really annoyed me was that when I checked the price ( we had paid up front, weeks in advance, with no cancellation) that we had been only what I can describe as “ripped off”, paying well over 100 euros more than if we had walked in off the street . Also, you were being asked to pay 1.50€ extra per day for using the fridge, if you put your own items in it. Safe was also extra, as were towels. I just felt that this establishment was out to get every cent they could out of its guests. By day 4, we had had enough and “bit the bullet”by checking out early, booking into a lovely 4 star in Mahon for the same price as this overpriced and overrated hotel. Any positive comments? Breakfast was just ok Would never recommend this hotel to anyone
