Two double rooms were occupied for 6 nights, one on the first floor and one on the 6th floor. The one on the first floor had a normal cleaning service, although we had to request toilet paper on the 4th day, at the beginning of the day when the air conditioning was turned on it had a water leak, flooding the entrance to the room, which was reported, according to the inconvenient.
In the room on the 6th floor, the lack of cleaning of the room, especially the bathroom, was reported. It was observed that only the beds were made. One of the days I was in the room, the cleaning service arrived and waited outside the room. and in 3 minutes the maid came out declaring that she was ready, upon entering the room was checked noting what was mentioned. It was mentioned at reception about which no further comment was made.
I hope that what has been said is addressed to strengthen the areas of opportunity so that the service does not decline for the benefit of the hotel and the clients.

We wanted the experience of staying at a property that had the feeling of why we were in Mérida. This hotel fulfilled that feeling. I believe it was built in 1911 and converted to a hotel 50 years ago. The location is great and the staff was very helpful. I would definitely stay there again.

The first room was not good. Large gaps in the windows caused the street traffic to be unbearable in the evenjng snd night. Our room was on thd corner with 2 sets of windows. Then there was construction on the street.after indistkng we were moved up to a different room on the 6th floor. A bit better but the AC was more like a fan and very loud.

This hotel does not provide the basics. No hot water, no hand towels, no glass to drink out of in room, no safe in room or at front desk, no tissues. No kettle or coffee maker. The toilet seat was broken and the toilet slow. Three hangers. The elevators are ancient and there is very poor lighting in the halls at night. Gloomy. The food and staff in the restaurant were great. The rooms are much in need of renovation. There are some great outdoor restaurants in the park across the street.

Location was outstanding. We parked our car steps away from the entrance. The hotel is located near the best restaurants and a short walk from the main square.

Perhaps maintenance crew should check plumbing regularly or the janitor must observe when cleaning and address with maintenance. Should check shower head often too as maintenance had to be requested.
Kudos though to reception and bar crews who were exceptionally helpful.

Great location. But.....When we checked-in to the room there was i big pool of water in the room and it was dripping from the ceiling. The hotel staff tried to repair it, only with momentarily success. When returning after dinner, there was big pool again and water running down the wall. This time they did not try to fix it but just offered towels to dry the floor. A leaky aircon does not ruin a vacation, but it is a bit annoying.

It is a lovely property and very clean. My only problem was that the air conditioner in my room dripped when it was turned on. I didn't realize this until I slipped and almost fell on the tile floor. They did not have another room to move me to so they put a bucket under it. Luckily the room was cool enough that I didn't have to use the AC continually.
