Soho Beach House

I’m a member of Soho Beach House and thought it would be fun to do a staycation at the hotel for a mental break, I really enjoyed my stay! The rooms are so nice and the beds are comfy! They have a happy hour cart that comes to your room to offer a complementary cocktail - I thought this was so fun and really nice!

Never had such a bad experience with front desk of hotel. Did a huge mass with the charging of my bill, had to explain 5 times what do and still they didn’t figure it out basic things. Also, they have weird charges that appear suddenly with their “ friends” system. Just a trend, not really hotel.

The food in the Italian restaurant was decent the rigatoni was a bit pasty but the little pillows with roasted meet was really good. The wheels came off the bus when we went to leave. We live in Palm Beach but we’re in Miami for the weekend staying at Nobu (super nice!!) Anyway our server pointed us to a door in the back to access the path along the beach. We walked out an unlocked door to a nice looking pool. When I took a picture I was accosted by a lady yelling loud enough to make a scene telling me I can’t take pictures and telling me it’s a members only club. She had no uniform and no name tag. I told her we were just walking through and she wasn’t having it. My wife and I stay at nice places all over the world and have never been treated like this. Spent over $600 in there between the bar during the day and dinner. I had no idea it was a members only club. They invited us in with our two dogs in the early afternoon, so we booked dinner with them. After this lady thoroughly embarrassed us, three more guys show up in jeans and shorts no name tags asking us to leave. I was so caught off guard I’m very sure I was anything but pleasant. But there are many amazing places to stay in Miami (that actually have beach access!) probably no need to do anything here except maybe have a drink. The bartenders were very nice. So to sum up…drinks great, dinner okay, management, quite disappointing, snooty and nasty. Too bad :(

A definite favorite when I come to Miami. Nothing better than to sit in their outdoor lounge adjacent to the pool where you'll experience comfy outdoor seating, a friendly squirrel and excellent/attentive service. Drinks can add up so be careful - I spent $250 in one sitting recently just over 90 minutes. The rest of the beach house features Cecconi's, a Soho restaurant on the second floor inside and outside, several seating areas, a hotel, a long pool surrounded by cabanas which makes for a runway of sorts as newcomers arrive to the House and have to walk past. It also features a well serviced lounge area on the beach itself which features full service for both food and drink.

We had a great time at Soho Beach House a few weekends ago. Travelling with a baby can be very stressful but from the minute we booked online the staff were very responsive and accommodating, helping us with an airport transfer with car seat hire, accepting our delivery packages at no cost and helping us get set up in the lovely room with crib and extra bedsheets etc. The bellman (didn't catch his name) was very kind. The House is beautiful but it is on the smaller side so it can feel busy but with a small family, we felt very welcomed and it was surprisingly kid-friendly in many ways. Our room was lovely, my husband enjoyed the gym, I did a nice beach yoga class with Rachel, we both had amazing massages (highly recommend Sylvia!) and we enjoyed the pool area most days. It does get busy with members so best to go down in the morning if you want a poolside cabana. The food was delicious, and like all SHs it is pricey. We felt the price was worth it for the fabulous ambience and kind staff and would highly recommend it to other young families looking for a relaxing break.
