Hotel Castello

We took my grandson to Modena for his 18th to visit the Ferrari and other car museums. The trip was brilliant and our hotel choice was the icing on the cake. If we get to come back this is where we will stay. Friendly staff and brilliant surroundings.

We loved our stay at the Hotel Castello and the location just outside the city. We liked the rural area (think beautiful trees, birds, flowers) just off the highway that made it easy to get around. We were in Modena to visit the Ferrari Museum, Lamborghini Museum and Maserati Factory Tour as well as to enjoy anything with a bolognese sauce. This hotel and location was the perfect choice for us. We had a group of 6 and were driving a large van so staying in the city would have been a challenge with the different directions we had to drive north and south of the city. The central location of the hotel made everything within 10-30 minutes for us. Anna at the front desk was AMAZING. She made reservations for us for lunch and dinner and her choices were our entire groups favorites of our 10 days in Italy. You have got to try them (Osteria Del Pozzo and La Contea di Montale - exceptional!). The rooms were very nice and beds were very comfortable. Very nice breakfast area in the main building with a good selection. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed in the annex adjacent to the main structure. This is an amazing find. Very nice boutique hotel, friendly staff and good breakfast. Rooms are very clean and well decorated. This is a very peaceful and pleasant hotel. We got recommendations for nearby restaurants that were some of the best we have tried in Italy.

A perfect little place, this. Everyone was super friendly & welcoming, the room was just perfect and the windows opened up to a great view of the surrounding countryside! Our room had a nice little balcony which was perfect for sitting out on, too. The breakfast was absolutely super, we didn't have any better visiting 5 hotels throughout Italy! As an added bonus, the hotel also has a perfect little outdoor spa area which was also lovely to visit. The location is super quiet and great for relaxing, as well as exploring the local area of Modena. We tasted some great Balsamic Vinegar from a local producer, and went to the Enzo Ferrari Museum, Lamborghini Museum and Maserati Factory during our trip. Stopping off at this hotel was an amazing decision and we were very happy with the entire stay!

A great stay in this comfortable hotel set in a quiet area. Check in was smooth and easy with the helpful and friendly staff and I was made to feel very welcome. A large comfortable room and both the room and the large modern bathroom were immaculately clean. A very nice breakfast and again the staff were very friendly and helpful. There is also a large parking area outside the hotel where you can park for free. I had a very enjoyable stay and would be happy to book there again.
