"The Freddie Mercury" Hotel

Very good in position where is located at the platform 1 Section D of Montreux Station! That's where you can walk directly to the hotel entrance from getting off the train

We were expecting a Freddie Mercury novelty hotel, but got a quality hotel with subtle Freddie Mercury touches. We booked this hotel for the novelty factor and it's location near the train station. We were not expecting a high-qeuality hotel, especially considering the low price. Firstly, despite what Google maps tells you. The hotel is not a 7-minute walk from the train station It is adjacent to the train. We only found out after we arrived. The hotel has an entrance that opens onto platform 1. The hotel is built to a high standard, with electronic locks on each floor to isolate the rooms from noise from the elevators and stairs, and what looked like triple -glazed windows to isolate the street noise. It was so nice to have these features after a month of travelling through Europe's major cities and experiencing city life throughout the night. The room was spacious with a large bathroom. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Everything was very professional. A well-defined and professionally-run hotel. We were only there one night but will be going back. Montreaux is a beautiful town on the banks of Lake Geneva. And great value for Switzerland.

The hotel is good and so is their staff. Perfect location- both proximity to the promenade and train station is great. We just had one concern, the lobby is open facing the railway tracks hence pitch dark at night and the lobby not being lit made us felt a little unsafe. About the balcony, there is a privacy concern as all rooms have just plants/dividers on both the sides instead of concrete walls so anyone from the rooms next to you can walk in to your balcony easily. But overall had a very good experience at the hotel.
