Amazing! Great view of Bahia San Lorenzo, rooms are spacious and the breakfast is delicious. Experience to Los Haitises available. Nice staff! Free parking and WiFi. Water and coffee available all the time. The natural pool comes from a river with cold and runny water.

We loved our stay at Altos de Cano Hondo. It is a lovely hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. We also loved the hotel guide Wilfred who took us on a great tour! The architecture of the hotel was wonderful, the food was basic but good and the scenery was beautiful. You should note that Altos Cano Hondo is the smaller sister hotel to the larger Paraiso Cano Hondo. They both share the same natural pools but you need to take a quick walk down from Altos to Paraiso to use the pools.

Gorgeous place. Fantastic huge room with brilliant view. The national park is amazing . The pools in the adjoining hotel were very cold. Dinner was good. Only minor thing was we needed an early breakfast and we weren’t provided with much that was edible

This hotel was really cool the way it is laid out. Unfortunately for the day I stayed there it was pouring rain. My room was nice and cozy, while the food was excellent. The hotel is located right in prime birding areas, and since I was on a birding tour this was a big plus. This is primarily the only area to find Ridgway's Hawk (a critically endangered raptor), and our group managed to see it right after we arrived. I believe this is the only decent hotel in the general area and it just happens to be a nice one.

Best hotel in our ten days in DR. Superb rural setting, very impressive architecture and layout, wonderful staff, great facilities. Good food but need to chose carefully! Ridgway's Hawk just ten mins walk form hotel :)

I have been twice (November 2021, January 2022) with a group of cyclist, we spend a great time there! Very good service, exelent food and a nice and friendly staff. Very original architecture that correspondes to the nature around.

I did like the property a lot, the road to get there wasn’t the best, and I did get food poisoning but I still managed to enjoy the time there.
The pool area was so nice.
