Staying at Royal Blu Hotel was an amazing elegant and relaxing experience for myself, my mother and my son. The accommodation is perfect, the private beach is clean, never crowded, served by two beach bars with tasty cocktails. The views are just wow, you can see the sunset from the main restaurant while having dinner, an unique experience. The sea water is crystal clear, it washes all the stress away. The food is diverse and tasty, all the preferences are being met. The stuff is so polite and welcoming, always ready and willing to help. It is a great place for couples, families and friends, there is privacy for everyone. Each evening there is a party or concert even Cretan music to be enjoyed. If you like to exercise, you can do so in the outdoor gym or play tennis in the playground. There is also a kid's club, therefor there is something for everyone to do and enjoy. Shopping is also an option as there are 3 shops inside the resort ( selling clothes, jewellery, souvenirs). Next to the resort there is a Market shop where you can acquire all kind of goodies and souvenirs. We will definitely be back!

Very nice , clean , different than other hotels . Nice and polite staff Attractive location and nice sandy beach. Highly recommended.Family friendly, breakfast is very nice and wide varieties . Few good pool bars and beach bar. Rooms are very nice with comfortable beds

Fantastic hotel, staff can’t do enough for you. Food is excellent and rooms are lovely. Can’t fault it 5*. Would highly recommend. It’s our second visit and will defiantly be going back. The small village is about 30 min walk but you can get a small train for €5 return. The village has great restaurants and little tavernas.

We spent 7 days at the Royal Blue, and we can sum up our stay in 1 word: Perfection! From our arrival through to our check-out, we were treated like royalty. I had arranged a secret proposal with Anastasia and she exceeded all expectations: following my instructions to a tee - our private dinner/ proposal was something we'll remember forever. This and the spa massage made the day a real treat. Our sea-view suite was clean, spacious and ideal for a couple. Both pools were inviting and we never struggled to get a lounger. All bars and dining options gave a plethora of food and drink options, and bar staff were polite and responsive. We also enjoyed the beach party with great DJ set. We want to give a huge thanks to Irina, Yanis and all of Anastasia's extended team. We can't wait to visit again!

Absolutely wonderful stay at The Royal Blue. Nothing is too much trouble for anyone, all staff so friendly and attentive. Food is so fresh and cooked beautifully. Rooms are just gorgeous - we stayed in a villa with private pool and woke every morning to a wonderful sea view. Didn’t want to leave our room but Crete is just the perfect island, it would have been a waste not to take advantage of all it has to offer. We DEFINITELY will be back ❤️

It was our first time to be in this beautiful and peaceful resort. Everything was wonderful, from the surrounding and atmosphere to facilities and service. Breakfast and dinner menu were exceptional! The staff are super friendly; unfortunatly we dont know all the names to thank them again for their warm hospitality! Special thank to Georgia and her team who made us feel at home. During breakfast, Nikos was always giving us energy with his smile:) Thank you Dimitra, Nikos and Dj George for amazing evenings in Thea Bar! Again thank you very much all for making this trip memorable for us❤️

Such a beautiful place, so many different areas that are worth exploring. Several beautiful pools, but also a private bay with crystal clear water and loads of fishes. My husband and i did yoga every day at the dock, that was also created next to the beach. With the sun in your face it is the perfect place for a sun salutation early in the morning. Service was amazing, from start to finish. Every day we received a special little gift in our hotel room, delivered by someone in person. This made our stay extra special. But also the people at the reception and the waiters and waitresses in the restaurant were all super friendly, trying their best to create a perfect stay. Quite special, also because we were there end of season and everybody was probably super tired of working all season. But we never noticed any of that. We hope to see everyone back some day! Also quite special is the fact that you can visit their (equally beautiful) sister hotel, 5 minutes walking from the royal Blue hotel, to go for a swim or eat in their a la carte restaurant. It creates a lot of variation, full of options. The food in our hotel was so delicious that we never felt the necessity to do this, but it very nice to have all these options! Concluding, of all hotels we ever visited this hotel might be one of the best, definitely in terms of price-quality balance. Hope to be back some day and get some vitamin D in autumn :)

We fell in love with the Royal Blue in the summer and returned for a 5 night break in October- and so glad we did. From the moment you arrive you are looked after by the wonderful staff who really are the making of the hotel. Check in is seamless and so calm after traveling. The setting of the hotel is beautiful and the surroundings immaculate and so clean, everywhere smells fresh, and all the staff smile as they walk past. We had a room with a private pool this time which was gorgeous, fresh pool towels arrived daily along with other treats of wine and fresh fruit during our stay. Breakfast is wonderful- we love that only a small amount of each dish is out and is replaced often and seamlessly. Absolutely everything you could wish for and again the wonderful staff are around. Initially the drink and food prices look on the high side but in reality the quality and freshness is exceptional and worth the price. It’s easy to get the local bus into Rethymno for some shopping and lovely places to eat and drink. We are already booking for next year and cannot wait to return.
