Nanjing Qinhuai District Hotels

After researching many hotels for our 3-day, 2-night road trip to Nanjing, we settled on Shuishanglou Hotel. The owner was incredibly friendly, and free parking is available right at the entrance. Our room was excellent, and a nice bonus was the TV's premium membership, allowing us to watch movies for free. The hotel's location is also excellent; Fuzimiao (Confucius Temple) is just a short walk away, and there are convenient bus stops nearby offering direct routes to the Presidential Palace and Xuanwu Lake. Overall, we had a fantastic stay! Highly recommended. 😍😍😍

The hotel is centrally located in the Confusious Temple area. The rooms are nicely decorated, but the size of the rooms varies. Choose a room on the upper floor and with a sofa group. The breakfast could have included more international options and in our opinion does not correspond to the hotel's rating. The room cleaning could have been better. The cleaning only included changing towels, making the bed and collecting trash. No changing sheets or dusting or mopping the floors. The service attitude of the staff was excellent. We always received friendly service that met our expectations. Overall a good experience.

Pros: The room is good for the price and is located in my most loved neighborhood of Nanjing. Best area to have snacks and to chill a night, open till 22:00. The hotel in general is ok and well decorated. Cons: when I first arrived the cleanliness level was ok BUT I found some hair on the ground. The shower was leaking water on the ground everytime I took it and it got clogged. The last day the air conditioner broke down and I ask for reparation. Nobody even answered me on WeChat. I also asked for a lighter duvet (since it’s August and they gave me a very thick one) but the receptionist said it wasn’t possible. It’s not the best out there but it’s ok for a few days since the location is good and quiet. Near laomendong but still not noisy at night

The hotel boasts an excellent location, just a 10-minute walk from Deji Plaza, a prominent luxury shopping destination. It's also incredibly convenient to reach major department stores like Xinjiekou Department Store, Central Shopping Mall, and Grand Ocean Department Store. A great perk is being able to quickly return to your clean and comfortable room after grabbing a drink from one of the many popular milk tea shops nearby. Furthermore, Xinjiekou Station, a major interchange for Metro Lines 1 and 2, is conveniently located only 200 meters away. This prime access allows for direct 10-minute subway rides to key attractions like the Presidential Palace and Fuzimiao (Confucius Temple), taking all the hassle out of sightseeing planning.

The location is fantastic – right next to the Confucius Temple, Jiangnan Examination Hall, and the Qinhuai River. Plus, Yonghe Tower, Lvliuju, and Chayan Yuese are all just a stone's throw away. It's also incredibly close to Exit 6 of Metro Line 3. The air conditioning temperature was comfortable, though the room soundproofing was just average. Breakfast rotated daily over our three-day stay and was quite decent. I had seen reviews mentioning slow bathroom drainage before booking, so I was prepared for it, and it was tolerable, but an improvement would definitely be a plus. We received a complimentary soft drink at check-in, milk every evening, and a fridge magnet upon check-out.

I stayed at this hotel when I first arrived in Nanjing and was very satisfied. The service was excellent, the facilities were advanced and fully automated, the hotel was clean, and the transportation was very convenient. The subway is right outside the hotel, making it easy to go anywhere. I was very happy with the hotel. I left my watch at the hotel, and Ms. Lin at the front desk helped me send it to Shanghai via JD.com. I am very grateful to her. I will definitely stay at this hotel again when I come to Nanjing. I have already recommended it to my friends, and I have decided to stay at this hotel again when I come to Nanjing in a few days.

Choosing this hotel right by the Confucius Temple for my Nanjing trip was absolutely brilliant! It's just a 3-minute walk to the Confucius Temple, making night cruises along the Qinhuai River super convenient. Popular snack spots like those serving Duck Blood Vermicelli Soup and Plum Blossom Cakes are literally steps away. The room itself was clean and tidy, with a lovely peek at the quaint old street from the window. The bedding was so comfortable, I slept wonderfully, and even the bathroom vanity was perfectly organized. The front desk staff were incredibly thoughtful; they helped me store my luggage before check-in and even gave me a complimentary Confucius Temple map and some fantastic Nanjing travel tips. It was such a comfortable and hassle-free stay, offering incredible value for money. I'll definitely be booking here again when I bring my family to Nanjing!

We booked a family suite, and both rooms were incredibly spacious! There was a minor issue with the lock on one of the internal doors, which made it a bit tricky to open once closed. However, it was still very convenient for traveling with both elderly family members and children. The location is superb! It's incredibly easy to reach Fuzi Miao, and the duck blood vermicelli soup available downstairs is absolutely delicious! I didn't take any photos of the room, but despite the hotel's proximity to a main road and Fuzi Miao, it was surprisingly quiet at night. We had a wonderful rest, and this hotel offers excellent value for money! We'll definitely choose to stay here again on our next visit!

We capped off our summer vacation, which coincided with the 80th anniversary of the Anti-Japanese War victory, with a visit to Nanjing right before the holidays wrapped up. We stayed at a hotel that's quite the influencer hotspot, and the check-in experience was fantastic. My son was absolutely delighted with the Ultraman-themed room. Steven was exceptionally detailed and helpful in his communication and coordination. The check-out arrangements were also very accommodating and flexible, ensuring a completely hassle-free stay.

Location is good and staffs are friendly. The room is good for one people, even though the wall is not too thin and you can hear some noise outside but it's not that big deal
