I’m writing this review whilst currently staying at the hotel, this is our first time in Bulgaria so wasn’t sure what to expect, this is 3 hotels together the bay, the mare and the palace I’m still trying to get my head around where you can and can’t drink but that’s a minor thing. This resort has so many plus points the rooms are very dated but large they are clean and very comfortable. The food and drink is good and if you can’t find something then your in the wrong place you can get burgers hot dogs donuts pizza and panini at different times of the day plus ice cream and you also have the main buffet too which has an excellent choice The water slides aren’t for the faint hearted my 9 year old will only go on the small ones! Can’t comment on kids club Entertainment varied My only negative is the public toilets they stink no matter what time of day it’s horrible and really off putting and the ones at the pool well oh dear is all I can say! - sol please do something about it - it really isn’t pleasant smelling urine each and every time you go into a bathroom and no matter weather indoor toilets or outdoor the floors are always wet! Would I return yes but I would probably stay in the palace

Hotel Was a bit apprehensive learning that we were with a 5* hotel and couldn't use their restaurant but honestly it didn't make any difference for us....there was always plenty of food and different choices every night...And we cannot thank the restaurant staff Dida and chef Petar (we hope we got their names right)- my daughter and I are ceoliac so gluten free so once we asked they made us fresh bread every morning aswell as muffins and pasta on request. There were also signs on all the food making it easy to know whether we could have it or not....The only negative was there was an older lady who rolled her eyes when we asked for the bread ...perhaps she thought we were being difficult or picky but she had a right chip on her shoulder! My other children enjoyed the freshly cooked pizza and doughnuts at the pool bar most days! We had a lovely interconnecting room which was great for our teen daughters and a gorgeous view over the pool. I'd recommend taking a refillable bottle for drinks as small paper cups Don't bother taking towels as they have a towel exchange which is really good.... Caramel popcorn is tasty! Plenty of sun beds at 5 different areas - we preferred the pool with little slides for our 4 year old which also had little water features and super fun slides ....the water was cold but fine once got shoulders in and the kids wernt phased at all Take your own hair dryer as the one in the bathroom isn't the most powerful Before u buy Lilo's or rings check the pool in the night for ones people have left for others to play with when they've left....also we packed one in our hand luggage and blew it up ourselves while out there. Entertainment was quite good but we wished it was earlier...was kids party 2030 and then main show at 2130 which my husband was too tired for most nights nevermind the kids....and would've been great if they could've had more at the pool bar ...we really enjoyed the disco at pool bar and karaoke nights. Perhaps another member of staff on the pool bar in the nights to prevent queueing would be a good idea. Nessebar & Sunny Beach Not much to the left as you walk out of the hotel but turn right out of hotel and nice walk to old nessebar about 20-30 minutes just turn right out of hotel and keep to the right...all downhill...u will see the old nessebar statue and walk into the ruins with lots of stalls shops and places to eat....if going Into sunny beach the bus stop is right out of the hotel and a bit further down...taxis will be outside to tempt u but..it costs 2 levre per person to sunny beach and they run very regularly....taxis are 20 levre... also wouldn't recommend boat trip from sunny beach to nessebar- price given when sat on boat and was something like 65 levre which added nothing other than getting from A to B so we felt we would've been better sticking with the bus! Overall we had a great family holiday! The kids had so much fun on the slides which was what attracted us to the hotel the most so well wo

We stayed at this resort but not in this hotel but we did eat on a few occasions in The Bay Hotel. We found the first few times for the food to be very basic and not of 4 star we quality but it was better than the food in The Mare Hotel which was disgusting, cold and of a poor standard or 'slop' asi referred to it! The last time we ate in the Bay Hotel, the food was very disappointing. On walking through the hotel,it wasn't 4star at all, nor was the dining room. The resort was very disappointing,I've stayed at far better 3 star plus hotels, compared to this resort. I struggled to understand how it could get a 4 star rating?????

Came 28th Aug, long delay due 2 air traffic control, last day here now, getting picked up later. Stayed in Bay hotel, hotel is very nice, rooms suitable as you only in it to sleep. Staff are nice and friendly, but it's if ur polite to them, they polite back. Food bit awkward for me and my daughter, but was same in Turkey last year, but we never went hungry, due to the lil snack bars at bay, Palace and mare. Ate dounts for brekkie. (Gonna miss that) pizza at Palace pool bar was immense but queue but well worth the wait. Water slides were fab, access to beach which was lush. Kids entertainment was fab, I embarrassed my 12 Yr old alot of times much to her amusement. Adult entertainment was very good also. Games room is good if it rains or kids are bored. Only fault, for me personally, is all inclusive stops at 11pm so I made sure I got my cocktails in before then. As a typical Brit, the pools are cold but once your in, its fine haha. We were late risers but never struggled to find a sun lounger. Shout out to Umit though. You know what for. Don't think i can actually fault the hotel etc. Loved it here.

Nice, relaxed and very tasty family vacation. The hotel definitely exceeded our expectations when it comes to food. High level, eastern European and international kitchen, high quality, good variety. Hotel itself is clean, conveniently set up and matches the overall rating. We oscilatted between pool, aquapark and beach. Kids very super happy about attractions. The hotel is clearly specialized on families, so I would not recommend it for couples that prefer a very adult-style environment. Altogether we plan to return next summer.

We travelled as a couple to Sol Nessebar Bay in August 23 booked through Tui. The Bay is one of the 4* hotels of the resort alongside the Mare and the Palace is the 5* between the two. Rooms Rooms were cleans and spacious and included a fridge, AC and TV. The TV doesn’t have English channels but as there is free wifi we used our firestick which worked no problem. We didn’t pay the extra for a balcony with a view of the pool but we did end up a view of the palace pool which was probably nicer than the view of the Bay pool. The balcony was spacious as well, with a clothes airer and table with 2 chairs. When walking on the other side of the building however it did look like some balcony’s were a bit smaller. The maids come around everyday to clean rooms but if you don’t want to be disturbed in the morning like us then you can just leave a card on the door. The rooms do have a safe which you can pay 7lev per day for. Food Each hotel has its own main restaurant which serves buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner. The breakfast is served until 10 however, we only used once as we aren’t early risers. It was fine but we didn’t feel like we were missing out by not going everyday. The lunch, again we went only once was fine, but with the large amount of options to get food at lunch time, we felt we didn’t want to go to the restaurant. At dinner we felt like there were not enough options for food. There was always different meats but I feel like a fussy child might struggle. The quality we felt also wasn’t there for a 4* but having said this we didn’t feel like we had to eat out because of this. The drinks dotted around at the bars which you help yourself to were watered down and not branded. You could only get the branded pop in the main restaurant, behind the lobby bar and behind the palace pool bar. The beer wasn’t fantastic out of the help yourself machines but when you order from behind the lobby bar it wasn’t too bad. There is also becks beer which you can help yourself to at the Biergarten. The cocktails weren’t great and tasted more of juice as they were from a machine. For 4* I would expect better quality for these. During the day there is a range of different places to eat. At the palace pool bar between 10-12.30 there are doughnuts which were lovely, the only downside with these is that you could only get them between those times. At the palace pool bar they also serve pizza (1-4pm) which did seem to be quite popular. At the bay pool bar they served burgers and hotdogs from 11-4 and we had a lot of these during our stay. At the mare pool bar they served fish and chips and chicken nuggets/ popcorn chicken, we enjoyed this as well. Down at the beach bar they serve panini sandwiches and on the way down there is a place where you can get ice cream. The biergarten serves German food such as pretzels and sausages and the tapas bar serves cake during the day. There is also somewhere that serves paella near the entertainment stage. In the evening

Everything was perfect, we will visit the hotel again for sure. The food was really tasty. The staff everywhere did their job with a smile, and we received extra help from the reception before and after our stay.
