とても、古くからある旅館とは思えない対応に驚いた。 このような対応では、老神温泉もますます廃れていくであろうと思われる。 １．フロントの対応 チェックインの際に、こちらの名前が間違えて、紙に表記されていたので指摘すると、インプットされたとおりになっていると、さもこちらのミスのような言い方をされた。部屋に入り、念のため、携帯にある旅館からの確認メールを見ると、正しい名前が記載されていた。 念のため、フロントでその旨を指摘すると、スタッフの入力ミスでしたと、恐縮するでもなく、謝罪もなし。 ２．１００ｇの上州牛サーロインステーキ付きプラン 夕食で楽しみにしていたが、赤身肉の薄っぺらい切れ端が、4枚。ジンギスカンのようなたれにつけて食するものが、ステーキとのこと。量も、明らかに５０ｇ以下しかない。お運びの外国人に言っても埒が明かないので、チェックアウト時にフロントにクレームしたが、カットステーキ（なんだそれ）との言い訳。HPにある、写真とも似ても似つかない不当表示。 誠実な対応は、一つもなく、再訪なんてありえないひどいレベル。 だまされた感だけが残る、最悪な宿でした。

突然かなりの雪が降り出し予定変更して、早めに宿に到着しましたが、チェックインさせてくれました。ロビーエリアは広く、大型の老舗旅館でした。 部屋はアップグレイドしてくれてました。ダブル洗面台には男女化粧水などが完備されてます。雪景色の川と山々がとても大きな窓から見渡せ、まるで絵のようでした。キレイな広い部屋(少々たたみがギシギシ)で、美味しい湯の花饅頭(かりんとう饅頭)とお茶でほっこりとくつろげました。 この饅頭が美味しく、宿の売店で一箱買ってしまいまいました(かりんとう饅頭だが油っこくなくてしっとりしている)。 つれあいは大きな窓から見える天気の変化を楽しんでました。 お風呂は大浴場で、こちらの温泉は、二本の源泉をブレンドした源泉掛け流しです。雪が降ってましたが、源泉がどんどん湯船に入ってくるので、温度は丁度良く雪見風呂を堪能しました。 個室での夕食は満足しました。特に上州牛のすき焼きとデザートの杏仁豆腐が美味しかったです。洋皿(ブルスケッタ)も一品あり、各品の味の変化も楽しみました。また地酒(300cc)が1100円とリーズナブルで、献立と良く合いました。 残念な事は、食事処係の方の接客。まだ食前酒の飲む前にすき焼きに着火するので後でお願いしますと言ってもさっさと点けてしまったり(隣の部屋からも「まだ」の声が聞こえた)、最後にごちそうさまでしたと言っても無表情で、朝食時にお茶を入れてくれたと思ったら湯呑の半分のみしか入れないとか、ちょっと今どきめずらしい位にお二名とも接客がイマイチでした。食事が美味しいのに、少し残念に思いました。 しかしながら、フロントの方たちは親切で良い対応でした。 まだまだ雪でしたが、良い温泉と美味しい料理で満足した滞在でした。

露天風呂のお湯がとてもぬるい。室内のお湯はちょうど良いけど天井から水滴が落ちて来て気になる。夕食朝食ともに私は大変満足出来た。
