This hotel is glorious. Beautiful setting in the mountains. Everything is maintained to a very high standard. Food is amazing, I recommend half board. Extensive buffet starter followed by 3 courses in the panoramic restaurant. Waiters were lovely. Lovely pool and pool bar with great entertainment. We were lucky enough to have the pleasure of Giulio on 3 nights. His voice is amazing and he made our holiday. Staff are very helpful and the shuttle bus to the beach everyday was perfect. We walked into the little village of San Pantaleo which is beautiful. Takes about 25 minutes but worth it. On the whole an amazing 8 nights in Sardinia. Highly recommend.

The most perfect place, the hotel and its grounds were just beautiful and the food was amazing. The beach was stunning, made the most of the hotel shuttle bus each day. We walked to San Pantaleo most mornings, the deli counter in the supermarket did the best cheese and salami for lunch. Celebrated our wedding anniversary whilst there and we received complimentary Prosecco with our evening meal. We will definitely be returning next year ❤️

We recently stayed at Hotel Rocce Sarde in Sardinia. The hotel boasts amazing mountain scenery in a rural setting. We booked the Superior Sea View Room. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, especially Stefano, Michele and Salvatore. The rooms are basic but spotlessly clean. We stayed half board. The food was lovely and even better as a coeliac I was catered for very well If visiting I recommend hiring a car due to the remote location of the hotel. The nearest village of San Pantaleo is a half hour walk away We booked a boat trip to the Maddalena Islands which is well worth doing We also visited Olbia along with various beaches which are amazing with white sand and crystal clear waters The downside to this hotel is it’s “tired” and needs an update. The hotel shop only stocks alcohol and sweets. No water! You can only purchase water at the bar or use the mini bar in the room. We reported a couple of issues in the room, namely the broken plug in the sink. It was still broken when we left. The pool area is adequate but due to the on-site sewage system there is a fragrant aroma in the area!! Also the poolside toilets consist of two toilets in what can only be described as a shed! The views are amazing and we had a relaxing stay but won’t be returning

The hotel itself is in a beautiful spot, on top of a rocky hill side, with views over the coast. It's an ideal quiet spot for relaxing and taking in the stunning scenery. We chose the hotel because we wanted an independent hotel with good food - somewhere as a base to explore the North East coast line of Sardinia - which is unreal. The coastline and beaches are probably the best I've seen in Europe and we loved Mamabeach for a day out somewhere with a beach club type vibe just North of Olbia. Overall, we had a good time, but there were a few frustrations with the hotel. The rooms are very old fashioned and tired, Even more so that the images online that feature the rooms in the main building and not the annexed rooms given to families. The food ranged from excellent to mediocre - my advice is to arrive for dinner at 7.30pm when the sittings start otherwise you may be left like we were on occasion with inedible pieces of meat or fish that are incredibly overcooked. My biggest gripe though was around service. The restaurant service is incredibly formal and can take forever - which may suit some people trying to make their way through 4 courses, but for families with young childeren it was way too slow. And finally the staff around the hotel need to be empowered to act on problems. We asked for our fridge to be fixed on day one of our stay and just got blank stares from the receptionists - it remained broken for the full week. Also, when I asked the at the pool bar if someone could arrange for the toilets around the pool to have the empty soap replenished, I was told that this "wasn't their area of competency"!! The pool serves food and this just isn't good enough. Overall the hotel has a ton of potential but just needs a bit more of a modern approach and refresh.

What a great hotel!! Reception staff greet you with smiles and are always there to help you if needed. Rooms are very rustic in fitting with the hotel style but pleasant and comfortable. The pool has two sides to it , one shallow and the other 3.5 metres which you need to be a strong swimmer to use, beds always available and some in lovely shaded areas amongst the trees. Bar offers decent drinks and lunchtime menu. Grounds of the hotel are very well maintained and we paid for the seaview superior which gave us a tremendous view throughout the day. Food - Just wow, evening meals were excellent served to a very high standard. Buffet starter followed by two main courses chosen the previous evening, this followed by a lovely dessert. The menu is very much based on pasta and fish so be prepared, but its all very nice food. Special mention to the staff which always go to make a wonderful hotel experience. Salvatore our evening waiter was excellent and explained the wine and menu. The maître d'hôtel ran a great service, bar staff Giame and Stefano always pleasant and good service. Management can be seen around the hotel at all times. The Sardinian evening in the olive garden is worth the extra €15 per person and the public holiday buffet in the garden was tremendous. We had a day trip to Corsica on the ferry which was all very easy, did the Viator dolphin trip from Golfo Aranci and had days out in Porto Cervo (great tip for a queit beach Spiaggia del Giglio), Porto Rotondo, Capriccioli. The beach that the shuttle runs to is great for snorkeling but very busy. The local village San Pantaleo is nice for a browse around the shops and you can buy a Saint Barth bag :-)

Hotel is in a Great setting with great views, staff are fantastic, rooms clean, food really good so I would go half board as its fairly remote, you will need a car as local bus service is sketchy, and nearest village is 30 mins walk, taxi's non existent, all drinks reasonably priced

If you are considering this hotel please read! It’s a long review but stuff you need to know!! Me and my partner have recently returned from this hotel, we stayed for a week in a garden view room which itself was very nice. The hotel itself is nice and clean but doesn’t have many facilities as such and was more like a retirement village. Every being early 30’s we were the youngest guests all week. As we stayed the last week of September I didn’t expect the pool bar to be closed all week due to the weather which didn’t make sense as it was above 20 all week and only one day of clouds, the pool wasn’t cleaned at all even after us asking so we didn’t use it at all. It appeared the pool area was more for lounging around rather than actually using. We booked through easyJet as a package which describes the location of the hotel as ‘charming’, although this is accurate and the views are stunning the hotel is in the middle of nowhere and should strongly recommend car hire. The the nearest town of San Panataleo is a 30 minute walk away along a main road and there isn’t a lot their but I would recommend going to the Thursday market. The only other place you can get to without a car is the Rene Bianca beach as a shuttle is provided by the hotel, you have to book times there and back due to space which is fine. The bar/cafe on the beach is not owned by the hotel and is not cheap! After 3 days we honestly got bored and arranged to collect a car. WHAT A FARCE! This was due to the very rude an unprofessional receptionist who made the whole process hard work. In the end we got the bus (not reliable) back to the airport and picked the car up. From here the rest of the week was perfect but we didn’t spend much time at the hotel. As for meal times we booked half board, this included tea/coffee and juice at breakfast which was a nice touch. Evening meal was a buffet starter, two courses and dessert. We did have to Google translate the menu each day as it was only ever in Italian. The food itself was lovely and worth the upgrade, although in the hotel it’s €40 each per day to add the evening meal so do it before if you can unless you have a car and eat out each night there are lots of beautiful little towns no more than 20 minutes from the hotel in any direction. The restaurant itself could do with abit of updating, you are allocated a table at the start of your stay and not allowed to change due to them knowing who had evening meals paid for, this meant we had a table behind a bollard and had no access to the view from the panoramic window, even on the last day when we asked to move as we were not staying for the evening meal the staff said no. If you stay half board do not bother with getting a packet lunch as you’ll be disappointed, we went out for the evening and asked for lunch instead. This was all taken from the leftovers from the breakfast buffet and would have been better to have chose my own and given the tub to put it in. If you have a car and jus

The Rooms let the Hotel down. The Good news: The Views and Scenery are amazing. The food is wonderful, all freshly cooked and waiter service at lunch and dinner. The Service is good too. grounds are pretty and the pool area is clean. No problem getting a sun bed! The beds (in rooms) are big and comfortable. However the rooms are NOT 4 star, they are described as rustic, but they are BASIC. The shower units are VERY small (we moved rooms and they were the same) They are NOT power showers and I kept hitting my knees and elbows, on the walls of the unit (i am a size 12) We did NOT have a balcony in either room. Only a window. YOU MUST HIRE A CAR TO STAY HERE. We didn't and the buses are un reliable (there are NO paths) The Taxi's are VERY expensive. 70 euro to go to village, which is 2.5 miles away. And it cost 40 euro to sit on beach (for 2 beds and a umbrella)

We were so looking forward to visiting Sardinia. Unless you hire a car you'll be stuck at this hotel. The was the worst holiday we have ever had! We were unable to visit the beautiful beaches or do sight seeing thanks to unreliable method of bus service and high taxi fares! The reception staff were very vague. We had to check daily our bar bill as mistakes were being made. Ultimately we blame TUI for not having a rep at the hotel. We could not do the excursions TUI had promised on their website. TUI sold us a dream which became a nightmare! Have complained to TUI who I felt didn't believe my side of things. Will not book with TUI again. They were not even in attendance on the return trip at the airport! we felt as though we had been dumped off and forgotten about . Greed all round. If you have booked, save your disappointment and hire a car. We have learnt a hard and expensive lesson. Sadly we have not come away with great memories, except for meeting Tigger the hotel cat and some nice holiday makers there.
