Quality Inn & Suites Orangeburg

My children traveled from overseas and I had the unfortunate experience of staying at your facility When checking in (around 8 or 9pm) the evening staff was a heavy-set female who had one of the most non-chalant attitudes I have ever seen. Didn't get her name. But No smiles, no pleasant greeting-NOTHING. Upon entering our room, at first glance the room appeared clean. As we looked further, we discovered the microwave had an explosion of food in it. The refrigerator freezer needed defrosting and the fridge was unclean as well. There were left over keys from other rooms left in the dresser drawers . The shower curtain smelled and had dirty stains all over it. The bathtub was dirty and could've used a hefty round of Tylex or Bleach. If ever there was a time I wish I had taken photos then that was the time. My room# was 235. I'm pretty certain that it is probably STILL like this. Please check for yourself. Also, there were many people hanging out in front of their rooms using room chairs on the 2nd floor, loitering around their rooms or others, It was a bit unsettling and uncomfortable. I'm sure some of the hotel guests can verify what I am saying as there was a bit of a commotion as I was checking out (July 3, 2023) with another guest who complained of many of the same things I've complained about but was wayyyy more vocal about it. That facility needs to SERIOUSLY be investigated!!! The only good experience I had there was morning front desk clerk on July 1, 2023, I didn't get her name but she was MAGNIFICENT!!! LOVED HER. Need more like her. If I could have canceled my stay there...I WOULD HAVE!!!!

This place was filthy. The floors had not been cleaned. There was a floor lamp with no shade and bulb hanging off it. It was filthy amd rusty. The sink was cracked. The beds uncomfortable. We will never stay at any Quality Inn again!

If I had known in advance that there was a $100 deposit for the room, I would not have stayed there....Just hoping my deposit gets credited back soon

I did not stay!! I was extremely tired and at a complete standstill with holiday traffic so I searched the nearest exit with lodging/food/bed. Quality Inn is a ChoiceHotel so I assumed it would be a decent place.. WRONG! I will say that the associate was trying to make it right by offering another room but the damage was already done. The property is run down and in desperate need of a full face lift. The rooms smell, beds sunk-in and just awful. I felt like I was in the trap somewhere and this is not how ChoiceHotels should be!! To make matters worse....they completely refused to give me a refund! Please.. if you are looking for a place to rest, pass this property on by

Requested a non-smoking room. Smelled like smoke, cigarette burns in the Comforter, dirty sheets and pillowcases, hairs on the bathroom counter, rusted air-conditioning unit with no vent cover, rusted door frames, dirt, stains on the walls, as if a mechanic was leaning against them. Cats everywhere that appeared to be trying to enter the rooms every time you open the door. We actually went back to the front desk and told them we were not sleeping there and left. Ended up staying at another hotel.

Terrible room that was stinks. Not enough towel and no drinking water Phone not working Front office not responding

The room was clean. The bed was acceptable. Breakfast was good and hot. Attendant was very good about cleaning and keeping food out. Price was the best in this area.

The room was dirty stains on the bed, stains on the pillows, stains on the comforter other parts of the room was cleane

The gentleman at check in was wonderful but the room is old, peeling paint, leaky shower, dirty walls, dirty mirrors and tv screen, dirty floors. The smoke detector is off the wall which I would assume it doesn’t work. Also the door has a large crack between the door annd jam. Thankfully it has a security lock to flip over. Even though this was purchased with my ******* points and was zero cost to me, I would not return here.
