KOKO HOTEL Osaka Shinsaibashi

The room was clean and tidy, and the location was super convenient, just a 3-minute walk from Shinsaibashi. Although the room was small, it was perfectly functional, so the location really made up for it. We also tried a yakiniku restaurant across the street, which was pretty good too.

KOKO Hotel in Osaka's Shinsaibashi is really well-located, right near the pedestrian street. The exterior has a nice Western style and looks quite appealing. The lobby also makes a good impression with plenty of sofas for guests to relax on; you often see people sprawling out comfortably there. The hotel operates on a semi-self-service basis. Toiletries like toothbrushes, razors, combs, bath towels, and skincare products can be freely picked up near the front desk. The elevators and hallways are quite fresh and clean, but there was a musty smell in the room. The room wasn't particularly large, and the counter felt a bit sticky, but a quick wipe-down solved that. The hotel's Wi-Fi was excellent. Housekeeping isn't daily; they clean every three days. You can put used towels in an eco-bag and hang it on the door, and they'll be replaced with a fresh set by evening, which is a nice touch.

Superb! The location is unbeatable, very close to Shinsaibashi, and the station is within walking distance. There's a convenience store right downstairs. The service is very thoughtful. They provide free daily necessities, and both the toiletries and complimentary samples are from DHC. Upon check-in, they even gave us two fish soups – yes, fish soup, the kind you steep like a tea bag. The hotel cleans every three days, so if you're planning a longer stay, you might want to keep that in mind. Almost every floor has a washing machine and an ice maker, and I absolutely loved the ice maker. The hotel offers a luggage scale and a vacuum compression bag vending machine. I didn't need them, but I think it's a very thoughtful touch. The environment is quite good, especially compared to other hotels near Shinsaibashi. The room size is decent, not super large of course, but for this location, it's excellent. The only minor drawback is that the room door isn't soundproof, so you can hear sounds from the hallway clearly. However, everyone was generally quiet, so it wasn't an issue for me.

This hotel in Osaka was a very pleasant surprise. The price was unbelievably cheap, and the location is superb, right behind Daimaru department store in Shinsaibashi. You can walk everywhere for shopping. The exterior is a striking castle-like building, and the lobby inside is very luxurious. Although the hotel isn't new, the rooms are large and clean. It's the most spacious hotel room I've stayed in Japan, making it incredibly comfortable.

The location is good, convenient for sightseeing. The room is small but has everything you need. Overall, it's a quiet and sufficient hotel.

The location is super convenient, just a 5-minute walk from Shinsaibashi Station. Plus, there's a Family Mart right next door, so you can grab something to eat if you get hungry at night. However, the room was too small, and the bathroom fan wasn't strong enough, so there was a constant damp, musty smell. Room cleanliness was average, but the staff were very friendly.

The hotel looks like an old castle from the outside, and the rooms aren't small either. It's really close to Shinsaibashi, so I'd definitely consider staying here again next time I'm in Osaka. It's super convenient for transport and shopping, and the rooms are pretty quiet too.
