Very large Ececutive Room with large shower, separatebtoilet, comfy bed and nice pillows. Even a bath tub is available, didn't use it though. Quiet surroundings with lots of nature. Receptionist young girl during check-in was very friendly and welcoming. Would stay there again.

Best value for money in the area for a modern, clean, friendly hotel

A very nice and Eco-friendly hotel just East of Utrecht. Lovely rooms with plenty of activities to do including walking and cycling in the beautiful Dutch countryside. The attached restaurant served tasty food and drinks. The only downside is that it is in the countryside and not near any shops (3km?) Wonderful stay and would book again!

We stayed five nights in this hotel. It’s supposed to be a four star hotel, but I would give it three stars, and that’s after taking into account the limitations that Covid has placed on the experience (mostly the fact that the sauna facilities were closed and breakfast and dinner was served in the hotelroom). The room was fine, clean and had all the necessary basics. The bed was a bit hard, but we slept fine on it. The staff was friendly, but the service was no more than average. You never get the feeling that their way of thinking is “how can we make the experience for our guests the best it can be”, which seems even more important during Covid limitations. For example, the quality of the food served in the evening was excellent, but there was only one vegetarian dish on the menu and everything was served with the same salad and fries. After a couple of nights you want something else! The breakfast was also of fine quality, but there’s not a lot of different things to choose from, so it feels like you’re having the same breakfast every day, especially if you eat vegetarian. Plus we found out the breakfast is not sustainable, and they didn’t tell us about this, we found out by accident! I think this is really not okay, because their main selling point is being completely sustainable, which is the reason I chose this hotel. I complained about it but got a lukewarm reaction. They also didn’t warn us that if it’s windy you have to close the wooden shutters outside the window, otherwise you’ll hear a loud whistling sound made by the wind. We had to find that out for ourselves and got one night of bad sleep because of it. All in all I would only recommend this hotel if you’re just staying one or two nights, or when the Covid limitations are lifted (so you can get the breakfast buffet in the morning and can eat out if you want to).
